The season I Love
In Nigeria, we have two seasons, the rainy season and the dry season. The rainy season has an abundance of rainfall with cold weather and the dry season is characterized by a scorching sun and no rain fall. The dry season is always hot due to the absence of rainfall and the rainy season cold due to rainfall. So, we have the sun in the dry season and rain in the rainy season and if I was to choose between sun and rain, I'd choose rain for so many reasons.
The sound of raindrops on the pavement is often a delight whenever I desire to sleep. I like the chill it gives and oftentimes helps me sleep more relaxed. My most enjoyable sleep has been moments when it was raining and it's one of the reasons why I like the rainy season. Aside from the thrill of rainfall, I like cold weather. I can endure cold weather and sleep comfortably under it but find it difficult to sleep under hot weather- it's always not comfortable.
Finally, I like the sowing period. When it rains, it calls for a period of plowing and sowing. Sowing, cold, and the chilling feeling of rain hitting the roof is enough reason why I like the season.
