If A could Share A Day With Anyone- Who would it be?

There are countless influential people from history I wish to meet, the Likes of Charles Darwin, Aristotle, Isaac Newton, etc. Most often, these are people looked at with curiosity and admiration and If there's any person I'd love to meet, the person has to have affected other people's lives in some positive ways, have significant impact in a field of study or made some contribution to culture or a society. The people from the past seems to have taking the hard bow and made legacy that still leaves us in awe and I have a few I'll love to meet and ask them this singular question - What kept them going?. Even in the midst of tribulation and failure, they kept going.

One Such person is -

Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela is a South Africa activist. He played the key role of ending apartheid in his country and became the first black president of South Africa and he's a Nobel peace prize recipient. He was a man who believed in making a difference. I read the history of Nelson Mandela some months ago and I was shocked at what he endured to end apartheid in his country. Most times I'm always curious about people who persist over a vision. What exactly did they see that made them endure all the suffering and still believed their fight would yield results? The drive with persistence and endurance is a factor that attracts me to people.

In a society where just an individual stood his ground for his believe and against the narrative and finally changing the status quo was indeed a thing of courage. Reading his story often leaves me with a lot of questions, if I have such courage to say NO to whatever was unjustly done in society. His fight till the time of victory took a couple of years and through all these he still remains unshaken. I'll meet with him and ask him, "How did you see the future of today to have fought with everything you had?" and probably learn how to fight hard and persistently for a vision.

Nelson Mandela is someone I really would love to spend a moment with also.
The resilience in getting what he wanted which was the freedom of South Africa is what needs to be emulated.. even amidst lost of all hopes, he still insisted.

A character I know
