There lived a witch in the forest of Patmos, she was known as Agele the dancing wind. She was a lover of music and appeared once a year during the yearly dancing festival. Rumor holds that she was once a princess banished from her land and roam about looking for a place to rest, and was a blessing to hunters who needed a place of solemn while some claimed she has been bittered ever since she lost her beloved to a wild boar and became a savior to hunters.

Dele, a hunter, went into the forest one fateful day and hunted through the night without catching any animal for meat. He was sad, never had he returned home empty handed , it felt like a clap on his face. He sat beside a stream, tired and grumbling, worried about what he was going to tell his wife at home. He was lost in his thoughts when he felt a gentle hand rest upon his shoulders.

"Why worry dear one" a voice came from behind him. He turned to face the beautiful damsel who stood beside him.

"I have promised my family a meat for the morning, but I saw no antelope, nor any animal, not even a rabbit to bring home as a trophy" he replied.

While he speaks Adele admired him.

"I'll help you, but on one condition" Desperate to see that he has a meat, Dele enquired of her conditions.

"You'll come here daily to stay with me when the moon is up" she told him. After much contemplation, Dele agreed and she made possible a fat antelope for him which he took home, but she never told Dele who she was.

Daily, Dele stayed with her through the night, they sang and danced and in the morning, he was rewarded with a good catch. Dele's wife started to miss the company of her husband, she knew something was wrong, her loving husband suddenly became a stranger in her eyes. Even though the bountiful catch was a blessing, she was gradually losing her husband. Agele became so fun of Dele and she bewitched him, wanting to take Dele all to herself. Dele's wife pained with her husband's sudden change decided to follow him out sneakily one night and she discovered her husband with Agele. She suspected it all started with her extreme demand for bushmeat and if Agele was involved, it means she had actually brought the pain upon herself , and now Agele was a bite through her eyes. But she was not giving up, she would fight for that which was rightfully hers.
