A Sour Beginning
A time of love and the season of weddings. Two grown adults decided to tie the knot. The lady was from my village, a sparsely populated community in the outskirts of Abuja and the groom from a distant town. The important thing is that love happened to them and they couldn't wait to say "I do" even though they had issues when it comes to communication and anger. The groom had promised the soon-to-be wife that he was going to sponsor her Eve night and also make available all the musical instruments and drummer but failed to do them and never communicated this to the lady. So she came expecting to see the instruments and the drummers but there was none and worse the guy didn't arrive at the venue until 12:00 AM when the ceremony was almost over.
The soon-to-be wife was angered and the entire village with her and she secretly planned to avenge what he did to her on the wedding day which was a day after. Saturday morning arrived, the groom had traveled to his hometown expecting the lady to come as early as possible so they could tie the knot and begin the family but the bride sat back and refused to attend until it was 2 PM when the wedding was scheduled for 10 AM. I learned the clergyman got tired of waiting and the groom's people as they scheduled and rescheduled time awaiting the girl who refused to pick up her call.
The wedding was almost canceled but the pastor was being begged to wed them not minding the time. The wedding venue was filled with angry people, the angry clergyman, the angry groom, the angry groom's relatives and friends, the angry people who were invited, and the smiling bride who felt she had avenged her course the right way. But fortunately they're happily living together as couples, I don't know how they were able to forgive the past but they did and currently have children together.
Lol is this for real? What kind of couple is that? Carrying out revenge on a supposed happy and memorable day 😅
They are lucky they had the angry people witnessing their union, some would have gone home and take it that they didn't attend a wedding.

Some actually left and the few who wanted to see what happens to the end stayed back.

When I thought I have heard it all 🤦, this action by the bride looks unmatured to me. How can she be joking to that extent,? Revenging on her big day? Not minding the invited guest and pastors? Well both of them share similar character..what a good combo 😂
