A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

Mr Alex, after his retirement in the military, happy to finally go home to his family was welcomed with sad news. A month before his return, his wife and children had survived an illness that took their lives.

"Sorry no one had told you, we feared what would happen to you knowing you were in the battlefield" His parents had told him.

It saddened him that he had labored all the years hoping for this time when he'll give them the kind of life they desired only to come back home to meet their graves. He cried for days and in order to take off the depressing thoughts, he started to drink heavily.

Drinking became a habit to him. Some days when drunk he sleeps outside. One fateful day the thought of it was heavy in his heart, he picked up some of his luggages and traveled to a new town hoping it would help him heal. He got so drunk and laid outside a restaurant shop not far from where he had bought the liquor. On the floor lay some empty bottles, and some clothes he had carried along with him. His travels did help him heal after some years, but he remained skeptical about traveling back to the home which held the memories of his wife and children.

What I see and Feel About the picture

In the picture is a restaurant built with glasses, on it is a reflection of a woman walking past the street , and some buildings. Laying outside the restaurant is a man in a military shirt and some luggages. Beside him are empty bottles of drinks which I think are bottles of beer. I feel the man is depressed and is bothered to have gotten himself drunk and sleeping outside signifies he's new in the town or doesn't have an apartment there yet.
