Concurso TBT / El primer recuerdo del año.

Desde que mi novia y yo vivimos juntos salimos a algún lado después de Año Nuevo, es una pequeña tradición, no tiene que ser un lugar lejano o caro, solo un sitio que no visitemos con frecuencia. Este año decidimos visitar el centro comercial La Cascada, aunque para las personas de Maturín es un lugar común para salir o distraerse, nosotros vivimos al otro extremo de la ciudad y lo visitamos muy poco.

Since my girlfriend and I live together we go out somewhere after New Year's, it's a little tradition, it doesn't have to be somewhere far away or expensive, just somewhere we don't visit often. This year we decided to visit the La Cascada shopping center, although for the people of Maturín it is a common place to go out or have fun, we live at the other end of the city and we visit it very little.

Para distraernos del ajetreo de fin de año y como una forma de retomar el ritmo después de las fiestas, decidimos visitarlo después de mucho tiempo, recuerdo ese día con mucho cariño ya que la ciudad estaba desolada, sumida en un silencio inusual, la mayoría de las personas descansaban en sus casas o se reincorporaban a la rutina.

To distract ourselves from the hustle and bustle of the end of the year and as a way to get back into the swing of things after the holidays, we decided to visit it after a long time. I remember that day with great affection as the city was desolate, immersed in an unusual silence, most of People rested at home or returned to their routine.

Nosotros dimos un pequeño paseo por la ciudad antes de llegar a nuestro destino final, caminamos un buen rato por el centro comercial, disfrutando de la tranquilidad y la soledad del lugar, visitamos varias tiendas, algunas que ni siquiera conocíamos y nos tomamos fotos en los lugares que aún conservaban adornos con temática navideña, capturando la esencia que aún persistía del fin de año.

We took a short walk through the city before reaching our final destination, we walked for a while through the shopping center, enjoying the tranquility and solitude of the place, we visited several stores, some that we didn't even know about and we took photos in the stores. places that still had Christmas-themed decorations, capturing the essence that still lingered at the end of the year.

Tras la tarde de paseo, nos sentamos en la feria de comida y ordenamos helados, mientras los disfrutábamos, observamos cómo al avanzar la noche, el centro comercial se llenaba de gente, de pronto, nos vimos rodeados de personas, lo que me pareció algo curioso ya que contrastaba con la desolación de la ciudad unas horas antes, era como si la vida volviera al centro comercial y a la ciudad en general después de la pausa de Año Nuevo.

After the afternoon of walking, we sat at the food fair and ordered ice cream, while we enjoyed them, we observed how as the night progressed, the shopping center was filled with people, suddenly, we found ourselves surrounded by people, which seemed something to me. Curious since it contrasted with the desolation of the city a few hours before, it was as if life returned to the shopping center and the city in general after the New Year's break.

Luego de terminar nuestros helados, regresamos a casa atravesando la ciudad en una noche fresca, el silencio y la soledad de cada sitio por donde pasábamos se hacían notar, la ciudad parecía aún recuperarse del ajetreo de las fiestas, ese viaje de retorno a casa en medio de oscuridad y soledad fue un cierre perfecto para un día lleno de contrastes.

After finishing our ice creams, we returned home crossing the city on a cool night, the silence and loneliness of each place we passed were noticeable, the city seemed to still be recovering from the hustle and bustle of the holidays, that trip home in In the midst of darkness and loneliness it was a perfect ending to a day full of contrasts.
