Women empowerment to me mean simply means giving power to the women, this doesn’t necessarily mean that power given to them should be used to oppress their fellow women or anybody at all, it means that women should be given the opportunity to be what they actually want to be aside getting married and bearing children. They should be given the opportunity to determine their own choices and the right to influence social change for themselves and others around them.

So many women in the world tend to loose their themselves when they get to some certain age because all the society wants them to do is get married, have children, take care of their husband and single handily build the home while being married, yes its a good to be married and have your home, but apart from this, we women can be anything we desire to be!

We can be great leaders and still be great mothers, I love me a career woman and a loving wife, this isn’t easy but then its one cross that we as women have to carry, many times I see women around me who are married and all they do is dedicate their lifes and everything else to marriage, we don’t pray for bad things to happen but somehow some day, things turn around and the women begin to suffer and cater for the children all by theirselves, this is one major reason why women need to be empowered!

I know of a lady who got married, dedicated her life to her husband and totally forgot about her own self, she forgot she has a great potential and would be of great merit to the society too, somehow the marriage broke, she is left with four children to take care of and now along the line she started picking up the pieces of life and started doing was she was actually destined for by tutoring kids and owning a school, I can tell you she is even way better than when she was in the marriage doing absolutely nothing.

You are right; there is much potential for women. It can be hard to break out of a mold that culture and/or society has in place for each one. Even after the childbearing years and later on in marriage, society can forget about these ladies too. The fact is, as you stated, there is so much more to women than just following the cultural expectations. Ladies, consider stepping outside that box and be who you were meant to be!

That is indeed a terrible situation. Tutoring kids, why not encourage her to begin that forgotten journey right of way? Reignite her dream.

Well, that has always been her dreams, she loves teaching children, and right now she is the ceo of a great school, she’s doing really well😊

In these cases, sometimes the fault can come from the man, there are some men who want their wives to sit at home doing nothing just giving birth and taking care of the children, like what we used to see in movies but some women after seeing all these signs they still go ahead in marrying such people in the name of love.
