So guys, I want us to know that riding a bike shouldn't just be seen as something we do for leisure because it's more than that. The truth is that bike riding can also be a very good way to get a full-body workout which will inturn boost your fitness levels.

Today, I will be sharing with you guys some few simple tips and tricks which I feel you can use in turning your bike ride into a Fitness Powerhouse that will leave you feeling so energized and accomplished at the end of the day.

  1. Always take a moment to set some fitness goals before you hop on your bike and this is because having a clear objective of what you really want to do will definitely help you to stay focused and motivated throughout your ride.

  2. Always make sure that you are riding a bike that's suitable for your fitness goals and this is why you must choose the right type of bike. If you are actually looking to challenge yourself and build your strength, then you should consider using a mountain bike or a road bike that has multiple gears. But if it is for a more intense workout, then I will suggest you should opt for a stationary bike.

  3. Always vary your terrain and do not stick to the same old route every time you ride. Try to mix it up by exploring different terrains. You can include hills, trails, and even flat stretches into your ride if you want to keep your workout interesting and fulfilling.

  4. Learn how to focus on intervals because including intervals into your bike ride is actually a great way of increasing the intensity of your workout which will lead to burning more calories in the process.

  5. Try to maintain good posture and focus on your breathing so you can keep your core muscles engaged throughout your ride. Trust me guys, this will definitely help improve your balance, stability, and overall strength.

  6. Learn how to incorporate strength training exercises into your routine if you want to make your bike ride even more effective. You can decide to stop at a park or an outdoor gym along your way and do some push-ups, or squats just so you can work on your upper and lower body muscles.

  7. Always drink plenty of water before, during, and after your ride so you can stay hydrated and your lost fluids will be replenished. You should also not forget to always fuel your body with fruit so that you can keep your energy levels up which in turn will help you maximize your workout.

  8. Pay attention to how your body feels during your ride. I believe this will help you to adjust your intensity and also your duration. If you are feeling tired or experiencing discomfort, the right thing to do is for you to take a break to avoid injury.

I liked the idea of varying the routes. It's true, because monotony can catch up with us. But when we vary the places and roads it helps us to have different stimuli and our body demands itself in a different way. And as you say, breathing is key. Regards @davidbright
