The book that changed my perspective about life in a specific situation is the book tittled "Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor Frankl.

A long time ago, I was in a very dark place. My dreams had crumbled around me, and this left me feeling so lost and purposeless. I never knew when depression stepped in and it became a heavy cloak I couldn't seem to shed. A friend of mine then recommended this book to me. I wasn't a book type since I find it difficult reading books but to my surprise, I finished reading the book in a sitting. I guess this was possible because of the words written on the book that resonated deeply within my soul.

Viktor Frankl was a Holocaust survivor and I bet that was the reason he was able to write something powerful about finding meaning and purpose even in the face of unimaginable suffering. To be sincere, his message in the book struck me like a bolt of lightning. He argument was that even our worst circumstances, we have the power to choose our response, to find meaning in our experiences, and to rise above our circumstances and I totally can't argue this.

His story and words were a wake-up call to me and I realized that my pains, even though they were so real, were not impossible to overcome. I realized I had the power to choose my perspective, to see life's challenges as opportunities for growth. Trust me, It was an eye opener for me.

Reading "Man's Search for Meaning" gave me the courage to take control of my life. I started to focus on the things I could control. Things like my thoughts, my actions, and my attitude. I began to search for new opportunities, I reconnected with old passions, and I then surrounded myself with positive people.

Trust me, It wasn't easy at first, but slowly, I began to climb out of the darkness. I began to find joy in the simple things that made me cry. I found purpose in helping others just the same way I found meaning in my own unique journey.

As of today, I am standing in a different place. Even though my life is not yet perfect, trust me, it is filled with meaning and purpose. I am so grateful for the challenges that forced me to confront my inner strength, and I am forever indebted to Viktor Frankl for showing me the way.

I would recommend this book to everyone out there that is passing through a dark phase. Trust me, this book would help you just the same way it helped me. Why not give it a try?

Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms – to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way."

– Viktor Frankl -
Man's Search for Meaning

I don't know about you but as for me, I am always inspired whenever I read this particular quote. It is always telling me that I have a choice and that my life is not determined by what happens to me but by how I respond to those things. It is a deep one and I hope someday, you will also be I inspired by this quote.

Thanks for visiting my blog.
