(ENG/SPA) The lightning dragon son of thunder Splinterlands Art Contest Week 264!

Good morning to the entire Alien art and splinterlands community, today I bring you my participation for the Splinterlands Art Contest Week 264! For today I bring you a small animation inspired by the lightning dragon card, for this occasion the concept is based in the iconic baki pose, so imagine what the lightning dragon would be like as a fighter, for this animation perform simple movements as if you were ready to fight, without much more here we start.

Step 1

For the first step, I started with the lower part of the character, the truth was it was simple since following the reference pose I only had to make a blue spot which was molded to achieve a resemblance, as the animation did not warrant the leg movement On the back, although I drew them in different layers, I only defined the details of the front leg. In turn, on a front layer, I added the claws and Baki's mythical shorts. The good thing about pixel art is that it allows us to reduce the amount of detail and by being A drawing with a simple aesthetic makes the work even easier.

Step 2

For this part I structured the upper part of the drawing the torso, the arms and the head, this part of the drawing was a little late despite looking at a reference, as it is a 200x200 and the drawing consists of a muscular body, the fact of Marking the different muscles is complicated since there is not much space and it is a bit difficult to make everything coherent. The arms presented a big problem for me, not because of the arms themselves, but because of the hands, I have never been able to well, you can see it in my other drawings to draw hands, unless the size is very large they don't turn out very well, so to speak, leaving that aside the head was simpler, it was structured in 3 layers, horns, upper jaw and lower jaw, In this case, since I didn't draw hands, I came up with something better

Step 3

For the last step are the most characteristic details, in this case I added the wings, pass the hands the part that was still more complicated for me, putting spheres of electricity in the hands, this part was based on using different shades of light blue such as color of the dragon's electricity, I drew some spheres at the beginning and gave them a pointed outline, based on that I used various light tones and playing a little with the highlights, added to that I put electricity trails on the legs and upper part, and to finish a beam of electricity coming out of his mouth, the animation focuses on the mirror movement of the electrical parts.

¡Muy buenos días a toda comunidad de Alíen art y splinterlands hoy les traigo mi participación para el Splinterlands Art Contest Week 264!, para el día de hoy les traigo una pequeña animación inspirada en la carta lightning dragon, para esta ocasión el concepto está basado en la icónica pose de baki, así que imagine como sería el lightning dragon como luchador, para esta animación realice movimientos sencillos como si estuviera listo para luchar, sin mucho más aquí empezamos.

Paso 1

Para el primer paso inicie con la parte baja del personaje, la verdad fue sencillo ya que siguiendo la pose de referencia solo tuve que hacer una mancha azul la cual se fue moldeando de para lograr un parecido, como la animación no ameritaba el movimiento de pierna trasera las si bien las dibuje en capas distintas, solo definí los detalles de la pierna frontal a su vez en una capa delantera agregue las garras y el mítico pantaloncillo de baki, lo bueno del pixel art es que nos permite reducir cantidad detalles y al ser un dibujo con una estética simple facilita aún más el trabajo.

Paso 2

Para esta parte estructure la parte superior del dibujo el torso, los brazos y la cabeza , esta parte del dibujo fue un poco tardada a pesar de estar mirando una referencia, al ser un 200x200 y el dibujo consistir en un cuerpo musculoso, el hecho de marcar los distintos músculos se complica ya que no es mucho el espacio y cuesta un poco hacer que todo quede con coherencia, los brazos me presentaron un gran problema, no por los brazos en sí, si no por las manos, nunca se me ha dado bien dibujar manos pueden verlo en mis otros dibujos, a no ser que el tamaño sea muy grande no me salen muy bien que digamos, dejando eso de lado la cabeza fue más sencilla fue estructurada en 3 capas, cuernos, mandíbula superior y mandíbula inferior, en este caso ya que no dibuje manos se me ocurrió algo mejor.

Paso 3

Para el último paso están los detalles más característicos, en este caso agregue las alas, pasa las manos la parte que aun así se me complico más, poner esferas de electricidad en las manos, esta parte se basó en utilizar distintos tonos de celeste como el color de la electricidad del dragón , dibuje unas esferas al inicio y les di un contorno puntiagudo, en función de eso fui usando varias tonalidades claras y jugando un poco con las iluminaciones, agregado a eso puse estelas de electricidad en las piernas y parte superior, y para terminar un rayo de electricidad saliendo de su boca, en la animación se centra en el movimiento espejo de las partes eléctricas.
