Un evento para observar y aprender|| An event to observe and learn

Recientemente, asistí a una exposición de fotografías que presentaban en un conocido centro comercial en la ciudad en que vivo, Maracay-Venezuela.

La exposición fue montada por una amiga con la que he compartido en distintos espacios académicos, es reconocida como excelente fotógrafa donde se destaca su creatividad en la fotografía urbana haciendo de nuestros espacios lugares para resaltar.

La muestra fotográfica fue el resultado de un trabajo académico, pues dicta talleres de fotografía urbana y es frecuente verla con su grupo de alumnos en horas nocturnas recorriendo las avenidas que les permite captar ese momento especial para hacer la fotografía que te parece perfecta.

Recently, I attended an exhibition of photographs presented in a well-known shopping mall in the city where I live, Maracay-Venezuela.

The exhibition was mounted by a friend with whom I have shared in different academic spaces, she is recognized as an excellent photographer where her creativity in urban photography stands out making our spaces places to highlight.

The photographic exhibition was the result of an academic work, as she teaches urban photography workshops and it is common to see her with her group of students at night walking the avenues to capture that special moment to take the picture that seems perfect to you.

Cuando supe de la exposición me acerque con dos fines, aparte de saludarla, conocer más acerca su trabajo actual con los alumnos, pues me causa curiosidad esta actividad nocturna y de pronto me inscribo para aprender algo sobre este apasionante arte.

En segundo lugar, mirar de cerca su emprendimiento, las técnicas que está aplicando para organizar su evento y en línea general la dinámica que engloba hacer el trabajo de “montar eventos “.

En cuanto al primer punto debo decir que el trabajo de sus alumnos son especialmente profesionales, es una fotografía pensada que busca atrapar lo conceptual de un momento, la verdad es que la impresión recibida fue muy motivante para mí, espero prontamente incorporarme a este taller para mejorar mi técnica fotográfica. Algo muy importante es que la mayoría trabaja con el celular y no con cámaras profesionales, lo que facilita en gran medida el poder hacerlo.

When I heard about the exhibition I approached her with two purposes, apart from greeting her, to learn more about her current work with the students, because I am curious about this night activity and suddenly I sign up to learn something about this exciting art.

Secondly, to take a closer look at your enterprise, the techniques you are applying to organize your event and in general the dynamics involved in the work of "setting up events".

Regarding the first point I must say that the work of his students are especially professional, it is a thoughtful photography that seeks to catch the conceptual of a moment, the truth is that the impression received was very motivating for me, I hope to soon join this workshop to improve my photographic technique, something very important is that most work with the cell phone and not with professional cameras, which greatly facilitates the power to do so.

El evento fue una experiencia distinta, pues los participantes del taller llevaban sus fotografías colgadas, en el pecho y otra en la espalda, con ellas recorrieron el centro comercial presentando su trabajo.

The event was a different experience, because the participants of the workshop had their photographs hung on their chests and another on their backs, with them they went around the mall presenting their work.

Luego de esta animada exhibición, el grupo se posicionó en la entrada principal de Centro Comercial para que el público pudiese observar la muestra fotográfica.

After this lively exhibition, the group was positioned at the main entrance of the mall so that the public could observe the photographic exhibition.

Hubo otro detalle distintivo. La joven que se llevó el primer premio de reconocimiento te invitaba a observar sus fotografías escuchando una música de fondo, para lo cual te facilitaba unos audífonos conectados a su celular.

La experiencia fue hermosa, pues la música te ayuda a encontrarle un sentido más claro a la fotografía y la conexión con el momento se hace más sensitiva.

There was another distinctive detail. The young woman who won the first prize of recognition invited you to observe her photographs while listening to music in the background, for which she provided you with headphones connected to her cell phone.

The experience was beautiful, because the music helps you to find a clearer sense of the photograph and the connection with the moment becomes more sensitive.

La organización fue excelente. Una actividad creativa, distinta, llena de alegría y participación, donde fotógrafos e invitados pudimos interactuar hablando del trabajo realizado, de las dinámicas seguidas en el taller, los encuentros nocturnos con sus pros y contras, pero todo el grupo motivados y enganchados en la propuesta.

Debo reconocer que montar una exposición de este tipo requiere de conocimiento, experiencia y del apoyo de todos los participantes.

Hay un detalle que considero importante tomar en cuenta y es dar a los invitados un programa que guie la actividad, pues, en mi caso particular, la di por terminada en ese tiempo de interacción; sin embargo, luego me enteré por las redes de un cierre con la proyección de las fotografías y aspectos fundamentales de la actividad realizada.

Quise traer este post a la comunidad @beentrepreneur para resaltar que siempre es posible hacer algo distinto y creativo, así como la importancia del liderazgo para guiar grupos, la planificación y organización como habilidades puntuales para lograr objetivos.

The organization was excellent. A creative activity, different, full of joy and participation, where photographers and guests could interact talking about the work done, the dynamics followed in the workshop, the night meetings with their pros and cons, but the whole group motivated and engaged in the proposal.

I must admit that setting up an exhibition of this type requires knowledge, experience and the support of all the participants.

There is a detail that I consider important to take into account and that is to give the guests a program to guide the activity because, in my particular case, I considered it finished in that time of interaction, but then I found out through the networks of a closing with the projection of the photographs and fundamental aspects of the activity carried out.

I wanted to bring this post to the @beentrepreneur community to highlight that it is always possible to do something different and creative, as well as the importance of leadership to guide groups, planning and organization as specific skills to achieve goals.
