🌟 Chicken Biryani : A Celebration of Flavor🌟

Hello foodies, 🫶 I hope you are happy and healthy.Today In this blog, I will share with you my recipe for creating the most delicious chicken biryani that will have everyone asking for seconds.Chicken biryani is a cherished dish loved by many around the world for its aromatic flavors and spices. Let's proceed with the recipe.

Ingredients :

🏵️ 1 kg Golden Sella Rice (basmati rice)

🏵️ 1.5kg chicken, cut into pieces

🏵️ 1/4 kg onions, thinly sliced

🏵️ 1 cup plain yogurt

🏵️ 50g garlic ginger paste

🏵️ 7 green chilies chopped

🏵️ Whole spices( 4 bay leaves, 4 green cardamom pods, 1 black cardamom, 1-inch cinnamon stick, 15 black pepper

🏵️ 1 teaspoon coriander powder 🏵️ 1 teaspoon yellow mirch powder (or red chili powder)

🏵️ Salt to taste
🏵️ Ghee or oil for cooking

Preparation methods-
Rinse the golden cella rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak the rice in water for 1 1/2 hours, then drain and set aside. If using basmati rice, 45 minutes should be sufficient.


Wash the chicken and marinate it with salt and garam masala, then let it sit for half an hour before frying it.

In a large pan, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until golden brown. Set aside a portion of fried onions for garnishing, then leave the remaining onions in the pan. Add whole spices to the onions.

Then, add the garlic, ginger paste and green chilies , coriander powder. Cook for another 5 minutes. Now add yogurt and mix well together.


Now, add the chicken pieces and mix well to the spices . Now add water (approximately 1.25 liters for 1 kg of rice) and add salt to taste .when the water comes to a boil,

add the soaked rice into it.Cook the rice until it's 80% done in high flame 🔥


Now add garam masala or peeli mirch powder(yellow chilli powder)and mix well.


Now spread the rice evenly and add orange food color and fried onions on top. Cover the pan with a tight-fitting lid and cook on low heat for about 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together and the rice to finish cooking.


Serv hot with boondi rayta / curd+ coriander leaves chatni.

Hello @cri a very rich recipe, I like this combination, in my country we make a very similar recipe but with small grain rice, only that we do not fry the chicken, but they are very similar, very good preparation.
