Hola amigos de esta querida comunidad de las joyas. Casi casi no doy con algo para presentarles en mi entrada a este lindo concurso. Quiero invitar a mis amigas @eveyese1312 😃 @linita 😃 @vicmito74 a participar, sé que ellas hacen accesorios preciosos 🙂 y nos complacerá verlos. Antes de comenzar quiero comentarles que no tenía ni idea de lo que haría. Solo pensaba en accesorios tejidos y la verdad es que el hilo más apropiado para elaborarlo sería el nylon y no dispongo de ese hilo ahora. Pensé en hacer un tejido con alambre, un collar con plástico, anillos de bolsas recicladas, pero al final me decidí por usar unas conchitas de las que me regaló mi sobrina a inicios de año. Las he tenido guardadas para cuando se prepesentara la ocasión y esta es. Ahora tengo una linda tobillera que podré usar la próxima vez que vaya a la playa o a la piscina. Les adelanto que me encantó porque emite un sonido relajante cuando las conchas chocan unas con otras.

Before I start I want to comment that I had no idea what I would do. I was only thinking about woven accessories and the truth is that the most appropriate yarn to elaborate it would be nylon and I don't have that yarn now. I thought about making a weave with wire, a necklace with plastic, rings from recycled bags, but in the end I decided to use some shells that my niece gave me at the beginning of the year. I had them saved for when the occasion arose and this is it. Now I have a cute anklet that I can wear the next time I go to the beach or the pool. I'll tell you that I loved it because it makes a soothing sound when the shells hit each other.

Para realizar mi bella tobillera necesité de los siguientes materiales:
🦀 Conchas de mar de diferentes tamaños.
🦀 Alfileres de bisutería.
🦀 Hilo nylon transparente elástico.
🦀 Balines color bronce.
🦀 Piedras de nacar naturales con orificio, tamaños irregulares. Colores nacar, transparente y azul marino.
🦀 Pasador para collares.
🦀 Argollas pequeñas de alambre de bisutería.
🦀 Esconde nudos color bronce.
🦀 Dijes reciclados color bronce.
🦀 Tijeras.
🦀 Pinzas de bisutería.

To make my beautiful anklet I needed the following materials:

Procedimiento 🐠 Procedure.

Para elaborar mi tobillera hermosa 🌈 lo primero que hice fue seleccionar las conchas más lindas y las que tenían algún orificio por donde colocar el alfiler. No eran muchas, pero entre estas pocas pude encontrar unas más grandecitas, son unas conchitas de chipichipi creo, blanquitas muy lindas. Otra es como la conchita de un caracol muy pequeñito, y las más grandes las usé para la decoración. Las conchitas con orificio las usé colocándole previamente un alfiler a cada una. Esto para hacer de ellas dijes para colgar en la tobillera. Atravesé la concha con el alfiler y en cada extremo hice un aro o argolla.

There were not many, but among these few I was able to find some larger ones, some chipichipi shells I think, very nice white ones. Another one is like the shell of a very small snail, and the bigger ones I used for decoration. I used the little shells with a hole in them by previously putting a pin in each one. This was to make them into charms to hang on the anklet. I went through the shell with the pin and at each end I made a ring.

El siguiente paso es tomar la medida de mi tobillo para conocer la cantidad de hilo necesaria. Considerando que haré nudos al principio y al final de la labor siempre dejé unos centímetros más para facilitar el trabajo. Usé 28 cm en total. Luego por una de sus puntas pasé un esconde nudos. Hice el nudo correspondiente y cerré con fuerza el esconde nudos. Corté el sobrante. Enseguida tomé el otro extremo del hilo para empezar a meter los materiales que harán el diseño de mi tobillera.

The next step is to take the measurement of my ankle to know the amount of yarn needed. Considering that I will make knots at the beginning and at the end of the work I always leave a few centimeters more to make the work easier. I used 28 cm in total. Then through one of its ends I passed a knot hider. I tied the corresponding knot and closed the knot hider tightly. I cut off the excess. Then I took the other end of the thread to start putting in the materials that will make the design of my anklet.

De aquí en adelante el proceso consiste en ir acomodando cada material para formar un diseño que nos guste. Yo empecé colocando los balines, luego un nácar cristalino y así fui acomodando cada uno para ir logrando rellenar todo el hilo. Como es tobillera el tamaño siempre es mayor al de mis pulseras. Por eso fui ordenando en la medida que fui haciéndola.

From here on the process consists of arranging each material to form a design that we like. I started by placing the beads, then a crystalline mother-of-pearl and so I was arranging each one to fill all the thread. As it is an anklet, the size is always bigger than my bracelets. That's why I was ordering as I was making it.

Decidí colocar los dijes más grandes al finalizar el diseño y los dijes más pequeños junto con los reciclados (son piezas de metal color cobre, tortuga y pececito) entre los materiales del diseño. Para finalizar coloqué un esconde nudos, hice el segundo nudo cómodamente y cerré con las pinzas. En uno de los extremos coloqué el broche o pasador de bisutería y en el otro una argolla. ¡Así se ve de linda mi tobillera Mundo Marino. Especialmente elaborada para este reto!

I decided to place the larger charms at the end of the design and the smaller charms along with the recycled ones (they are copper colored metal pieces, turtle and little fish) between the materials of the design. To finish I placed a knot hider, tied the second knot comfortably and closed with the clips. At one end I placed the brooch or jewelry pin and at the other end a ring. This is how pretty my Mundo Marino anklet looks. Specially made for this challenge!
