If there's one thing I love to do, it's to look at the sun. I could never get tired of it. The way the sun filters through the curtains into my room every morning is a sight I'm always thankful for. The reason is simple, it means despite all odds, I've woken up to see the breaking of a new dawn.

That's about all I love about the sunrise, while it makes me thankful for the breaking of a new dawn, it also reminds me that it's another day to get up and hustle. There are occasions when all I want to do is just roll over and go back to sleep, but no, I don't have that luxury.

The odd thing is that I don't use an alarm, I can always tell what time it is just by looking out my window at the sunset. I have a love-hate relationship with the sunrise, but we tolerate each other and get by somehow.

The sunset is my favorite though, I'm sure you can guess why, it signals the end of the working day. I always looking forward to sundown when I can log off work and officially announce the end of the day's activities. Cool right? I'll have the rest of the day to myself until the following day.

That's not all I like or in this case, love about the sunset, I've witnessed beautiful, breathtaking clear displays of different colours gracing the sky at sunset. As the sun dips underneath the horizon, the colors can be seen disappearing slowly into darkness, signaling the end of another day. Watching the sunset never gets old, as it reminds us of the beauty and majesty of nature.

I mean one just gets mesmerized by the sight of one of the most beautiful works of nature, it's hard to not be enchanted. I don't know if it's only me, but watching the sun do it's exit magic is a form of therapy in itself. It always has this calming effect on me even when I'm down. It simply reassures me that even though the day is ending, tomorrow is another day and another chance to get it right.

The part I enjoy most is the sight from my room, I don't have to step out of the house to revel in the awesomeness of the sunset. I work from home, and all I do is go to the window, look out through the net, and take in the beautiful delight of the sun setting.

I've never seen anything more beautiful and it's always an honor to witness it every time I can.

In my case, I see more Sunrises since I work as a Night shift nurse. The sun rise signals nearing the end of my working day rushing through the last two hours of my shift. I am transitioning to days now so my rhythm is getting mixed up. I may start liking sun sets more. Ha ha!
