Digi-prompt 037 || Quality or nothing

Hello Amigos.
This is my first time writing in this community, and I am pleased to be doing so. For this post, I will be replying to the week prompt that says "HD or Nah." Let's dive in.

First of all, I am not a tech savvy person. I use my phone and other gadgets just like every other person does. But just as everyone else, I like quality stuff. Without thinking much, we(you and i) would choose a clear image over a less clearer one, isn't it?

I posted some pictures I took after Sunday service on my whatsapp status, and two of my friends messaged me asking if I used a techno button phone or Pos machine to take the pictures. I wept. The quality is poor but not as bad as they had laughed. It still surprises me to this day how far technology has evolved. I remember when I used this Asha phone, and it was the bomb then, and every picture I took with it was perfect. But now? I dare not raise that phone up to take pictures. How did we get here.
Like i said, im not a techie. I dont know how to use all the camera settings. I just do point and shoot, but crisp videos and pictures have my vote anytime. If I am viewing a movie or a clip and the quality is poor, chances are that I wouldn't see it through. I may just abandon it. I lean alot towards visual appeal. They say that the eye feeds first, and I do agree with the saying. Unless the images and videos I have to look at are old, from years ago, I don't see why I should go on to watch them if they're not clear and colorful enough. The only time that I may sit through a video with poor quality is when I have something to gain from the video, and then the audio is not as bad. It makes up for it for me.
When downloading on YouTube I always seek the best quality. Videos are more interesting when they're colorful and well graded.

Since my phone isn't good, I suffer with whatsapp media output, but thanks to the addition of HD option and for the good that sending media as file has been doing for us. I still have to deal with reduced quality.
Generally, quality has to be good to grab my attention. I don't care if it's over the top good or not since I don't know well enough to grade cameras, but still, it should be appealing.

Thanks for reading. Please leave me a comment.
