It's my delight to post here for the first time. I appreciate the manager and the moderators for making hive block chain a better place for us to share our lives experiences. In this contest, I want to share my experience with apollo.

My experience with apollo

Apollo is a disease that affects the eyes. It's mainly common during the dry season or summer. It affects both old and young. Their is this believe about Apollo that, once you experience the disease ones, it won't happen to you again. But I personally have experienced it twice in my life. So, during dry season, I became afraid of apollo more expecially, when harmattan breeze is blowing because it makes my eyes dry and at the same time painful. Here are my experiences with apollo 👇.

My eyelids gumming together: I woke up one morning and found out that I couldn't open my eyes easily because the eyelids have gummed together. As well, I feel pains in my eyes. So, I went out with the help of my mother and she shouted, it's apollo!! Back then, I don't know what apollo is all about.

She soaked towel in the water and help clean up my eyes. It was like mucus very irritating when I opened my eyes. So, she quickly soaked 1 cube of sugar is a clean water and used it to drop in my eyes. It was a bit pain though I got some relief.

At noon, I couldn't play with fellow kids because I couldn't bear the sun and the musus still coming out from my eyes. The only thing I could hear was sorry, sorry. Throught the day, I kept on using the sugar as an eye drops because each time I drop it I got a relief. My eyes was very reddish as if I smoke weeds hahahaha.

At night, I couldn't face the light either. I was hidden my face from the lights. The wost part of it is that, I was feeling itching in my eyes and, if i mistakenly scratch it, am in trouble because it's very painful at last. The next day, the eyelids still stick's together. I wasn't comfortable anymore and my mom had to get me some antibiotics from the chemist store. It was Ampicillin capsules with paracetamol to reduce the pains. It was that ampicillin that draws out the mucus and within the period of 5 days, the apollo disappeared.

So, when I experience it a second time, I was an adult by then. It started with the first symptoms, so I quickly went to the chemist to get antibiotics which cured it within 3 days time. Honestly it better for adults to experience apollo than children because it makes one uncomfortable, painful and at the same time restless.

If you have experienced apollo for the first time, what did you use as the remedy? I can prescribe for someone or use it myself because it might likely occurs to me again but I don't pray for that.
