DEFINITELY NOT MONDAY

Of course, it's not Monday. Can not be. From even very young, I could not have picked that day. So many others wouldn't too. Talk about work, school, the very day that goes off really serious. A very official, fasten-your-seatbelt for the week's ride kind of day.

For me even, right now, my Mondays, from 8am through 6pm is packed with classes back to back. No breaks or stops or anything. It's always a marathon. The other days of the weekday are not very different but a little less busy, if I may put it so.

I don't even think there are a lot of people who would pick the weekdays. The vast majority are likely to pick a day in the weekend. Me too. So, not Monday, not Tuesday, nor Wednesday(which is the day I may likely pick if I had to settle for a day in the weekday. This, and Friday. Maybe) not Thursday, and not Friday, too.

Sunday too is out of it. Like Mondays, I've had this long time aversion for Sundays(the morning time, precisely). First for personnal reasons and second because, stating this frankly, it runs by really fast only to usher in yet another Monday.

So yeah, Saturday it is. Not exactly my favourite day. I don't have a favourite one. Any day could be that, depending on the activities that transpires. You grab?

You might say that most persons get to carryout cleanups and home runs on Saturdays and I can't argue with that. For me, I just make sure that I get to handle the most, about 70% of my tasks which should have been pushed to Saturday for other days. It's not very complicated for me then. Saturday just seems like it has a mind of its own.

So Saturdays, first of all, give me a full day. Morning through evening, compared to the other days. I get to handle my activities to my choosing. I get to rest some little more. I get more time to study. A little more to engage in my preferred fun stuff. It's on Saturdays too that I get to prep myself up for the coming week. You know, do what needs to be done and just work out my schedule. Makes stuff a tad easier. It's just that one day when how my activities go and what would happen is left for me to decide.

Also importantly, it gives me the illusion that I have a long time to chill and cover up on grounds before Monday comes knocking again.

And here, you have my participation to the Hive Ghana Weekly Prompt, "Favourite Day." Do well to check it here if you please.
That's it

Thanks for gracing this post.
Greetings!

Everyone has their minds psyched to rest in Saturday and that’s what makes the day really better.
For some reason even if you have other things to do, you won’t feel the pressure behind it.

That's true too. Whether we get to do a lot or not, we all just have it in mind that it's rest day and the thought alone is as relaxing enough
