I arrive again to the Lady of Hive community contest. This time with a theme that grabs me because it has hope implicit in it. As they are closely related I will take the two alternatives:

1️⃣ Share a story about how you overcome the feeling of despondency, disillusionment or skepticism when you realize exactly what is going on around you.

2️⃣ What makes you hold on to hope? Enlighten us about something you do to create a safe, positive space around you, to increase the belief or conviction to always look for the cloud with a silver lining, even if it means starting over?

I could be the most complaining person in the world, if I allowed the negative omens and thoughts, which attack me, affected by what is going on around me, to drive my life. I see the environment, but also what is happening beyond and everything arouses in me a dejection and displeasure that I seek to remedy as quickly as I can and that all that negativity does not come to the surface or transform.

Even if I am internally concerned about a situation, I don't usually go around spreading complaints everywhere. I think it is counterproductive to do so, I also think that everyone carries within themselves reasons for grief for the same cause and seek ways to deal with it, some more than others. I take the example of those who are optimistic in spite of everything.

My most important motivation are my grandchildren, I see them as extraordinary children, who have music, art or sport as ways to improve themselves. They deserve a better world and a happy grandmother who fills them with joy. Not a bitter and sad old lady who scares them. I come first.

I often receive from them samples of the work they are doing, with the help of their parents, and I am filled with joy. I see them so dedicated and willing to learn that I am filled with hope for the future of humanity, as this is a sentiment I share with other grandparents.

The children are demonstrating a value, which projects them as men of the future with attachment to the environment and willingness to learn. I hope all adults understand this and do not miss this opportunity to be better people for them. I see my grandchildren and the children around me and I think that there has to be a better world for them and they deserve it.

Pudiera ser la persona más quejumbrosa del mundo, si permitiera que los presagios y pensamientos negativos, que me atacan, afectada por lo que ocurre a mi alrededor, condujeran mi vida. Veo el entorno, pero también lo que ocurre más allá y todo suscita en mí un abatimiento y desagrado que busco remediar lo más rápido que pueda y que toda esa negatividad no salga a flote o se transforme.

Aunque internamente me preocupe alguna situación, no suelo ir regando quejas por doquier. Creo que es contraproducente hacerlo, pienso además que cada uno lleva en su interior motivos de pesadumbre por la misma causa y buscan la forma de lidiar con ello, algunos más que otros. Tomo ejemplo de los que se muestran optimista pese a todo.

Mi motivación más importante son mis nietos, los veo como niños extraordinarios, que tienen la música, el arte o el deporte como vías de superación. Ellos merecen un mundo mejor y una abuela feliz que les llene de alegría. No una viejecita amargada y triste que les asuste. Soy lo primero.

Con frecuencia recibo de ellos muestras del trabajo que van realizando, con la ayuda de sus padres y me lleno de regocijo. Los veo tan dedicados y dispuestos a aprender que me lleno de esperanza por el futuro de la humanidad, ya que este es un sentir que comparto con otros abuelos.

Los niños están demostrando una valía, que les proyecta como hombres del futuro con apego al medio ambiente y disposición a aprender. Ojalá todos los adultos comprendan esto y no pierdan esta oportunidad de ser mejores personas para ellos. Veo a mis nietos y a los niños alrededor y pienso que tiene que haber un mundo mejor para ellos que se lo merecen.

Felicidades abuelita!! Me parece que concuerdo contigo, en que tus pequeños se están preparando para su futuro, quizás sin saberlo pero los familiares adultos seguro les están dando la mejores orientaciones. Un abrazo de un abuelita para otra abuelita 🫂

Same here, sometimes doing this, can transfer all the negativity we have to others and that's not a good thing, it's like spreading a virus. It's better to complain to ourselves and resolve it on our own. Seeking advice is also good though. Life is beautiful no matter how hard it is. Let's see the little light on the darkness and make this world a better place even for the children ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ.

It is also my point of view, complaining is very harmful and does not solve anything, it only generates discomfort; there will always be more good situations to grab hold of.

Allow grief to run with you like a stream that flows through a ravine - it will wash away and form fresh routes, but the fresh version of you will emerge stronger than ever in time. And all of this is a moment as streams tell it, not as the timepieces do. It is time that extends unmeasured but arrives all at once.

I also have a grandson who makes me happy and inspires me even when life is difficult for me as I am also taking care of my son with disabilities and a partially blind mother.
