Better Education and Quality of Life for the Children of My Country. # 168. / Mejor Educación y Calidad de Vida para los Niños de Mi País. # 168.

ENGLISH.

Greetings dear beautiful ladies of Ladies of Hive it is very nice to greet you again and participate in another interesting contest 🤗

This time I will answer one of the 3 questions asked by our friend @joanstewart, all of them are very interesting, but there was one that caught my attention in a big way 🤔.

Any major changes planned for 2024? Do you think your country, region or home needs a change?

I really believe that if we review ourselves and our environment we will always find that there are changes that we must make, there are things that can work better, there are others that are simply a disaster and in many cases we have great responsibility, we just have to make decisions and get down to work.

In my country Venezuela there are many needs and although they want to make it up to give another impression the reality is that nothing is working well, and one of the things that worries me most is the great lack of quality education for children, because although there are free schools, these schools are not only in poor condition, the payment to teachers is very poor and to top it off they are allowing anyone to teach without being prepared.

I have dealt in recent years with children and adolescents and it is alarming to see that a 10 year old child attending school does not know how to read, that adolescents about to graduate do not have the slightest idea of what multiplication and division are, when before a child of basic studies had to know these things.

And the most worrying thing is not only the lack of good education in the schools but also the fact that many parents are not taking interest in it, I think and I say it with sadness that they are worse off than the children, sometimes we only blame the governments, which of course have a great responsibility, but what about the parents?

I wonder what is going on? I have met a boy that I will not mention his name, but he is such an intelligent boy, so tender, when I see him coming to church dirty, with broken shoes and with rebellion, it breaks my heart, and there are many children like him.

Here in the church we help him and take care of him as we can, not only spiritually, but also materially and we try to teach them that they are very valuable beings, full of talents and abilities.

I am hopeful that this situation will change because they are definitely the future, and healthy and happy children make a country a prosperous and safe place.

I know that there are institutions working for the welfare of the children, but much more is needed, especially to educate the parents, because many of these children are lacking attention, love and the warmth of a real home.

So much for my participation dear ladies, thanks for the support, blessings 🤗🙏🌹.

The issue with poor education among kids in different countries is a major problem..also because of poverty and lack of support.. if all government will work with putting high effort in this aspect, kids will grow knowledgeable with better future ahead... As an adage said, "Education is a key to success".

Hello @jane1289. if the lack of good education is a lack of government and society as a whole, and as you say, a good education brings success, unfortunately there is a social problem, and all that has to be addressed urgently, thank you for your kind visit, greetings.😊

With education sliding downhill in our country, pass of 30% an acceptable level, many of our youth now sit in the same situation. Parents who have been educated should be spending time with teaching over weekends if needed to help the young get a better footing in life.

Knowledge is power to move a country forward politicians do enjoy pontificating/spending where money is ill spent not on what the people need.

Hello @joanstewart 😊 exactly so, and it is very sad because the less education the greater the poverty, thank you for your comment is very accurate, greetings a hug 🤗🌹

Education has been literally dumbed down with curriculum on teaching on social justice rather than basic personal skills for a living and that's in my first world country. I had to move my Children into a private school at a heavy cost. This trend should be alarming.

Wow what you say is worrying, here in my country the private schools in these times can only be paid by a few, before the public education was good, but for some time now is extremely worrying, it makes me sad because I see the future of many children and young people uncertain. Thank you @kerrislravenhill for visiting my post, you are very kind, greetings. 🤗🌹

I hope there will be a true change in government policy and actually listen to the people rather than prescribe what they think are in the public interest.

but what about the parents?

I agree that the parents must be responsible for their kids in all aspects before everyone else including the government. But I think considering the political and economic situations in your country, I think it's safe to say that many parents are struggling to put food on the table and thus have less time to focus on their children. But of course, I could be wrong 🙏

Hello!
What happens is that there is a very unfortunate social crisis in my country, I think there is a lack of education, and if there are many parents trying to feed their children as they can, but there are also many others just waiting for them to give them things for free, it is a very deep crisis, both socially, politically and economically.
The first thing we want is an urgent change of government, hopefully that will happen, and the second thing is to change the mentality of many people, because as I said many want everything easy, and also many teenage girls getting pregnant continue to bring children into the world to work, it is very sad, here the problem is very complex.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post, I appreciate it very much, greetings.

to change the mentality of many people

This is extremely difficult to do. Here in Malaysia we depend so much on the government subsidy and it has become a "crutch" that people rely on. So in every single thing, people would expect a "discount" or government hand-outs.

many teenage girls getting pregnant continue to bring children into the world

This is upsetting, but it's a frequent occurrence in areas with high poverty and limited education.

Regardless, I hope there will be positive changes in your country in the years to come 🙏
