Hello musicians and music lovers! We know that it has been quiet on the content front of Blocktunes, but we have still been around, gathering information during this rough bear market on what is working and what is not. We are working on coming up with a solid plan to get artists onboarded to our platform, which would also be good for the overall Hive community. We will be streamlining things in the future. We are still alive and running, just have been watching things develope behind the scenes.

We now want to get into some of the things to look forward to!

BlockTunes Studios COMING SOON!

In approximately 2.5 months, our founder, @thelogicaldude aka @groove-logic, is moving to a new location and will be building out the BlockTunes Studios! We will be using this space to do things like DJ mixes, video performances, and educational videos. Having this space will give us the ability to make more consistent content like videos, as well as new audio productions! We will be hoping to also offer audio editing and voiceover services.

Developments On Hold

We have some awesome plans to streamline our services and making some other developmental change, but those things have been put on hold for now until we get to the new production studios.

We are working hard on bringing more utility to the MUSIC token as well, such as paying for services and such. We have some cool things planned to help us scale for the future, so make sure to follow us and stay tuned for all the updates.

Some of these updates include:

• Blog review and playlist submissions to help promote artists and their music.
• Official BlockTunes Playlists on Spotify, Audius and more.
• Remix contests for producers.
• A La Cart services instead of BlockTunes PRO membership.
• Changes or possible discontinuing of Polygon NFT collection.

One thing we want to get done is the ability to be able to access locked content using the Hive based NFTs, so we will be reaching out to some Hive Engine devs to see how we can get things like this done. This will help us make the decision to stay with the Polygon NFT collection. Hive is the better blockchain for musicians than having to deal with the whole EVM thing, but we can do A TON more with the EVM side of things. We will see once we get things all set up at the studio.

So we just wanted to let you all know that we are still rocking over here at BlockTunes and just wanting to find the best ways to help musicians make the most out of their Web 3 experience!
