Sophie's Story - Crazy Pen Hallucinating

Sophie had always felt like she was one of the most dutiful, conscientious people. When she was younger, she'd always strive for perfect grades—to keep her mom happy. She'd always volunteer to help out at home—because her dad had worked so hard as a single father to give her the best life possible. She even treated friends day and night—because that's what best friends were supposed to do!

When Sophie turned 19, she decided to go on a round-the-world trip with her best friends, Clara and Emily. All three of them were full of energy and anticipation—they couldn't wait to see the world! This was their way of celebrating the last year of high school—they'd just gotten their diplomas and were moving on to college next year.

But recently, Sophie had begun to think her life was too small. She worried that she lived only to please other people. She suddenly felt trapped by her old tight-knit circle of friends. And she was confused by the way she always put others first, without seeing the same from them. She wanted to feel more, do more, and be more—even if it meant disappointing someone close to her.
