Welcome to the second it's a gamble series, as promised in the introductory post for this series I will be taking a deeper dive into the Martingale betting strategy.

Now before we get into it a Disclaimer Gambling 99.9% of the time is not a way to make money, only gamble for entrainment purposes and if you think you are likely to develop a problem its best to stay away.

In a perfect world you have and infinite bankroll and there are no maximum bet limits on the game, you can't lose with the Martingale betting strategy however this is not a perfect world, and one must remember that the casino is not in the business of losing money and so they must design the games with an advantage to insure long term profitability.

In the first post I shared a chart of probabilities of consecutive loses and the wagers needed to put up , I also mentioned DEC is the best option on the Kryptogamers platform, and I will show you the reason shortly.
Right below are a few charts with all that info for each of the cryptos you can wager.

These charts apply to the dice game with the default odds of 49% to double your wager.

HIVE/STEEM min 0.1 max 400

GAMER min 1000 max 1000000

DEC min 1 max 10000

As you can see if we start at minimum as we should DEC gives us the highest amount of plays before we reach the max so you would have to be unfortunate enough to hit a loosing streak of 14 with a 0.005% chance or 1 in 200 I think the later format paints a better picture.

I also find a big issue could be sticking to the strategy, playing on minimum bet can be pretty boring and also very slow to make gains.

Your best bet with gambling 😏 if you want to improve the odds of you leaving with money, is to set limits and stick to them, for example commit a set amount lets say a 100 if you lose it you lose it walk away trying to win it back can result in even more loses, if you want to take it to the next level here is what you do, lets say you managed to turn that 100 into 200 how about put away 150 and see what you can do with the other 50.

It's fairly straightforward and improves your odds of leaving with more money then you came in with however its hard to stick to it but that's the part that I enjoy the most about gambling it allows me to work on my self control and emotions and loosing can be a great reinforcer.
