It's a Trap!/Reblog lottery

20240201_193903.jpg

In this one I present to you a basket with some cubes....

20240201_193936.jpg

Before we get into the cubes check out this neat basket it's 3d printed and it's one piece looks flat but it unravels to its basket form.

Now let's get into them cubes, and as you can see it's a trap!
We got a bunch of precious (minus the commemorative Canadian dollar)
silver of various diameters purities and weights traped!

There is no way to get them out now without breaking apart the plastic.

But how did I do that you may wonder and it's actually fairly simple, I stop the print mid way insert the coins and continue as shorlty after their fate is sealed.

20240201_194044.jpg

It's a pride glow in the dark filament and right below you can see me hitting it with a uv light to quick charge it.

20240201_194149.jpg

Look at that shine baby! and that pride the only issue with this rainbow type filament is the lack of control.

One of the victims a 1 oz Silver Britania

20240201_194252.jpg
As you can see it's trapped for real.

You may be wondering why I bothered with this, well I think it's pretty cool and also it's a neat way to display the coins.

That's pretty cool! How durable are the cubes to resist breaking?

This filament is fairly durable non of the cubes would brake if they dropped I think it would take a bit of an effort to smash em out but can easily cut em out with a saw or even some wire cutters, there are a whole lot of different kinds of filaments some that are fairly strong but it's all just plastic at the end of the day !BBH !PIMP !LOL !hiqvote

Yeah dosen't have to be a trap , I had maple leafs to hang on the wall that held coins so there is a fair bit of possibilities!BBH

Well done with the basket! The cubes are simple but have great value on the inside. And we all know, that is what count 😄

Nice to be a winner. Been a while 😝

Wow... what a unique way to display coins.

I've always wondered how someone could turn the design into 3D. Is there a certain program that can be used to create a precise design that can later be 3D printed? Like what you did when creating parts for your 3D printer in the last post.

Can try with tinkercad it's free and it's a browser based program that is pretty easy to use to make 3d design!BBH

That's right but it would take a lot of space if you want to display a good quanitiy of coins....

Oh it would just be for a few I don't think it would be a good way to store many for one it's trapped and also it's exposed to air and that will tarnish silver over time !BBH

That's right, I didn't think about that... But how do you keep the rest of your collection "not exposed to air"?...
I mean if you keep them in a box or a book, it's good enough? !LUV !WEED

🤣 I really don't , but with the printers when it's working as it should it's a set and forge type deal , it's can take a while to print some stuff but you don't have to do much just wait and in this case pause to put the coin in before continuing the print !BBH
