Mi entrada al concurso Observa, piensa y escribe: Viajes Inolvidables ** My entry to the Observe, Think and Write contest: Unforgettable Journeys (Esp - Eng)
Faltan pocos días para que finalice el año 2023 y una de las cosas que extraño de esta temporada son los viajes que hacia regularmente para pasar la Navidad con mi familia y compartir la cena navideña y de fin de año, una hermosa tradición donde la familia se reúne a preparar los platillos navideños mientras los pequeños se divierten jugando, comiendo galletas y merodeando la cocina para saber cuando estarán listas las Hallacas, además de los postres dulces que son sus favoritos.
There are only a few days left until the end of the year 2023 and one of the things I miss about this season are the trips I used to make regularly to spend Christmas with my family and share the Christmas and New Year's Eve dinner, a beautiful tradition where the family gathers to prepare the Christmas dishes while the children have fun playing, eating cookies and prowling the kitchen to know when the Hallacas will be ready, as well as the sweet desserts that are their favorites.
Ver la imagen me causa cierta tristeza y nostalgia porque al pasar por el peaje sabía que ya había salido de mi cuidad de residencia e iba rumbo a la ciudad donde vive madre, aunque el viaje tomaba muchas horas, mi alegría por ver a mi familia era mayor que el cansancio producido por el largo viaje, luego de varias horas en carretera y ver el letrero de bienvenida el cual anunciaba que había llegado a mi destino, no podía esperar más para llegar al terminal de pasajeros, tomar mi equipaje e irme a la casa de mi madre, en la mayoría de las ocasiones me esperaban en el terminal y esto era una linda sorpresa, cuando me dirigía a retirar las maletas, justo allí estaba mi padre con su característica sonrisa, mi madre o mis hermanas esperándome para ir a casa y compartir lindos e inolvidables momentos en familia.

Seeing the image causes me some sadness and nostalgia because when I passed through the toll I knew that I had already left my city of residence and was on my way to the city where my mother lives, although the trip took many hours, my joy to see my family was greater than the fatigue produced by the long trip, after several hours on the road and seeing the welcome sign which announced that I had arrived at my destination, I could not wait to get to the passenger terminal, take my luggage and go to my mother's house, I could not wait any longer to get to the passenger terminal, take my luggage and go to my mother's house, most of the times they were waiting for me at the terminal and this was a nice surprise, when I went to pick up my luggage, right there was my father with his characteristic smile, my mother or my sisters waiting for me to go home and share beautiful and unforgettable moments with my family.

Ver la imagen y leer tu redacción tan llena de sentimiento, me fue transportando a situaciones similares.
Es un poco triste cómo sin querer hemos ido cancelando costumbres y tradiciones de otras navidades, pero si fuera por cada uno de nosotros, seguirían iguales por toda una eternidad.
