Yesterday Is History...loh #162

Greetings beautiful ladies of this community. Its always a joy to participate in the weekly prompt of this community. Hope you are all doing great? Happy new week!

The past is always Tense, the future is Perfect.......Zadie Smith.

Time is a currency that every creature on Earth lacks. We all want more time...more time with the kids and family, more time to make more money, more time to relax and enjoy ourselves. Funny though, I have never heard about more time to keep writing exams in school or more time for school, hehe.

"Time lost can never be recovered"... I heard this a lot while growing up and assisting my mum in her shop. I think she always said this to get me to hasten up with any task I was given in the shop or when I attended to customers.

Time is in phases, Past, Present and Future. Past is what was left behind, Present is now while Future is that which is to come. Fact is that without the past, there would be no future.

For some persons, the past might hold certain memories both pleasant and unpleasant ones, happy or sad. For others, the past is like an archive of painful events which they wish could be burnt down, so as never to recall those painful events to surface.

Whichever it is, the fact still stands that our identity can be traced to the past. For without the past, we have no identity.

If I was granted a chance to see into time either past or future... I would gladly choose to see the future, without blinking or missing a heartbeat. The future is pregnant and filled with endless possibilities.

The future is not yet here and sometimes it is not guaranteed. This makes it flexible and malleable. It means that the future can be moulded and given a desired shape to the preference of each individual.

One of the reasons why I would like to be able to see into the future is to enable me get a grasp of how far I would have attained at a particular time later in life.

I have dreams and goals to achieve. I have also planned and mapped out how I would go about achieving those said plans with specific time placements and so it would give me great joy to see if those dreams were realized because it is a known fact that man proposes but God disposes. I also know that life happens and can turn the tides of time in ways we didn't predict.

Seeing into the future would also grant me access to knowledge about my family and their well being in the long run. I would get to know how many grand kids I would have, hehe.

The past cannot be undone, no matter how much I desire to change some errors in my past or relive the pleasant memories... it's gone and gone for good. It would do me no good to see into the past afterall I've lived it but the future holds so much prospect that I can't even grasp it all or explain it all in a 500 words blog but I do hope you get the gist.

If I am given that power, I'll choose to see the future too.. We had a lot of mistakes in the past, and keep making them in the present.. I want to see the future to avoid the same mistake again and learn how to surpass the future life challenges..

This is so true, it will be good if we can avoid making it repeating the same mistakes that we've made but I still feel that mistakes are a part of the human learning process that makes life what it is.

Although our past is history, we cannot totally erase it from our lives because it's what brought about the future.

True but as we know, history is studied to avoid repeating errors of the past. The future can look so so much better and greater when we look and work towards it.

Just like when driving a car the driver focuses on the view in front and not the view behind.

I hope I have been able to convince you and not confuse you that the future has it😁😁

To be able to take a look at our future, what we will do, who we will be with, the projects we have achieved and even what we have not achieved, that would be really interesting.

This was a nice write up from you dear, I feel the emotions in this write up, this is very interesting and beautiful to read, the future is indeed pregnant, and I would also love to see what it births, I believe it will be greatness my dear, noice write up..

There's no way I could pick the past over the future. The past is behind me and nothing I do can change the events of things but a glimpse in the future can help me prepare for what is to come and even help me avert ugly situations. Forward is the only way to go and forward is the future.

Well written,Sis. this post reflect an understanding of the dynamic nature of time and life, where unexpected events can shape the course of one's journey,causing us to sometime deviate from the initially laid out plans. But with God on our side, we shall fulfill all our goals. ( Even when there is a relationship between personal aspirations, the passage of time, and the unpredictability of life events). God gat us. Let's keep believing and working hard

To me yes the past is done and dusted, we can't change it so move on, remember the good memories and on to the next waking day Becky!
