Hello friends on hive, hope you're all good?

It's Monday and as is the custom for freewriters, we do the @zapficmondayprompt and this week the prompt is....

"radiation"

Here is what I came up with in precisely 50 words.....

Steve didn't know what to expect as the elevator took him up to the surface. He'd been kidnapped and left in a ten feet underground cell for twelve years. As he stepped his feet outside the elevator, the sun's radiation almost blinding him, he was finally a free man again.
