Weekly engagement wk 37:: I wish I can get a gift

Gift given goes beyond what is given it touches emotions it builds relationship and it shows how generous, kind and connected the one who gave the gift is to you.

Fortunately my first gift was given to me by the wrong person it was a smartphone and he took it from me when we had issues.

Oh I forgot my first gift wasn't a smartphone rather it was a Nokia touch for from a friend and I was so excited because I wasn't expecting it, that was in my early 20s though my father didn't allow me enjoy the phone he will seize this today and give it back to me tomorrow.

I don't really bother much about gift because sometimes someone who values you who might likely want to give you a gift might be facing some financial challenges that deprives him from getting you a gift such persons will not hesitate to give you a gift immediately he have money what matters is how committed the person is in the relationship not the gift.
In as much as we can't search the heart someone can give you a gift just to fulfill all righteousness while another can give you a gift from the depth of the heart so with or without gift relationship will grow.

Real life experience.

I have a friend who was from the western part of Nigeria he came over to the east to do some job, that job lasting for 6 months to one year I never knew this my friend had in mind getting me a gift so after the work He traveled back to his state.

It was 6 months after he left the east I got a message from someone that I have a gift from someone I was never expecting anything from him, I lost his contact he lost mine too so we were not contacting each other anymore I never knew he had me in mind all this while, later that day I went to pick the gift from the logistics I was so eager to open the gift to see who gave me the gift and what the gift was all about at the same time I was scared because I wasn't expecting anything from anyone.

When I got home I called my mother and I showed her the big envelope I told her "mom I was called by someone to come and pick this envelope that it is a gift sent to me from someone"
Immediately my mom replied "and you went to pick it without knowing who sent it what if is something that can harm you or harm us what are you going to do? you just have to be careful, you didn't even tell me before you left, that's bad girl"

I replied her "mom don't worry I'm already here with the gift and I'm certain that nothing will happen to us let's unveil it and know what is inside and who sent it to me"
My mom said "please take it outside open it there let's see what's inside"
So I took the envelope outside and I opened it, there was another envelope that contains a letter that was inside the big envelope so I opened it to see who sent me the gift.

Lo and behold it was Felix my friend who left 6 months ago and has never contacted me because he lost my contacts.
The letter reads "I miss you so much" "it's me Felix I haven't forgotten you I remember you everyday of my life and I've always long to hear your voice but I lost your contacts life has not been easy for me but I think about you everyday, I decided to send you this little thing and to let you know that I always think about you, this is my contacts please try and reach out to me" I Love you

I was so happy because I thought Felix has forgotten me that was the best gift I ever received in my life though it was something little but it meant more than gold and silver to me because it came from someone I deeply value and appreciate and I never knew I would hear from him again I thought all over, so reading his test with the hope of hearing his voice once again made me the happiest person that they.

Yes gift can be small they can look valueless but what matters is who it came from and the motive of the gift.

I wish i can get financial gift.

This might sound funny but if I have to make a choice of what someone should give me as a gift at this point of my life I will say is financial gift and it will mean a whole lot to me, I know you want to know why.
Currently I'm indebted of over an amount that is equivalent to 2,000 hive and the owner of the money expect me to pay it back anytime soon unfortunately the money wasn't for fun it was for a serious matter that could have taken one's life and I haven't gotten even half of the money.

So if I'm to decide for anyone who wants to give me a gift I will prefer a financial gift because no matter how little it is it is going to go a long way to pay if not all but part of that debt that is giving me sleepless night.

Unfortunately I don't have the right to decide what someone can give me as a gift or even decide if someone should give me a gift.
