Hello Movies and TV Shows Lovers on Hive Blockchain, today I follow the Community Contest #2: What are your favorite comedies?. I am going to share 5 comedy movies I love and making me laugh. I watched these movies when I want to laugh. I love the comedy movies because this kind of movie can make me laugh and all pressures I got from my daily activities.

These are my 5 favorite comedy movies

Game Night (2018)

Zero Media.

This is a movie that the story begins with a guessing game between a couple, nerds Max (Jason Bateman) and Annie (Rachel McAdams). Just because of a trivial matter, the life of guessing between Max and Annie then continues as the two build a household and continue the game of guessing.

Max and Annie invite their friends and a mysterious neighbor, namely Gary (Jesse Plemons). However, Game Night is suddenly different when Brooks (Kyle Chandler) comes to Max's house. It turns out that Max and Brooks have a past story that has not been resolved until now and has finally challenged Max with the Game Night game that Brooks offers.

In addition to Max, Brooks also offered this challenge to several other friends such as Kevin (Lamorne Morris) or Ryan (Billy Magnussen) who had ridiculous behavior when it came to dealing with the games Brooks offered.

Then, can Max be able to complete the challenge given by Brooks? The Game Night film is the direction of two directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein who has a new way of presenting comedy films. Throughout the film, Game Night is able to invite the audience to always laugh, even though some scenes feature awkward scenes.

However, these two directors are able to concoct the movie appropriately so that each character seems to have its own character. Apart of Jason and Rachel, there is still Billy Magnussen who scaned as Ryan or Lamorne Morris with his role as Kevin who is able to churn the audience's stomach throughout the film.

Not only that, every supporting actor present in this movie is also able to bring out his maximum ability to produce a comedy line that is right.

Even though the comedy offered looks dime, both of them are able to compose a neat story and bring out the right chemistry for actor Jason Bateman and beautiful artist Rachel McAdams.

Jason Bateman has always been known to be smart in playing his role as a comedy actor. However, hearing the name Rachel McAdams play in a comedy movie, it might feel odd.

However, in this film Rachel McAdams, who plays Annie, looks to bring out her abilities in total. The dialogues that are built between Rachel and Jason are very fitting, without having to force it and even when the jokes that are featured in this film are considered "nickels."

Apart from the two directors, and the factor of Jason Bateman, the script written by Mark Perez also had a big role in bringing this movie to life. Each scene is made like a ping-pong ball where almost every character always has their own jokes.

Like other Hollywood comedies, Game Night also offers several moral messages. The audience, who initially burst out laughing, could remain silent for a while listening to this insertion of moral messages.

In general, the film Game Night offers a comedy director who dares to be combined with the maximum role of each actor and actress.

This comedy drama mmovie directed by Nicholas Stoller will be released by Universal Pictures next April.

The Truman Show (1998)

Movieclips Classic Trailer.

There must be many comedy movies lovers will remember the funny and expressive face of this actor. This one film is a bit more serious than other Jim Carey's movies. But it still leaves a message for the audience .. This movie directed by Peter Weir is very unique in terms of story ideas. I haven't found a film with a background like this until now.

The plot and plot of this film begins with the routine of Truman Burbank starting his daily greeting to his neighbors, interacting with a dog in his yard. Truman Burbank is an insurance marketer on an island called Seaheaven. An artificial island complete with all properties and artificial nature. This island is basically a very large studio all built for the sake of a reality show. It is amazing!

Truman's daily life goes on normally, a humanist adult man has a permanent job, a friend and a wife who works as a surgeon. It is said that at that time he was 30 years old. People say that in their 30s it is a phase where men begin to review all of the past and be full of consideration to look at the future, it's a crisis midlife. Truman begins to be critical of his life being too monotonous. Everything looks the same every day and he starts to get angry that his life is "not normal" and at one scene he is in the basement opening a chest which contains things from his past.

A red cardigan made his memories go back to a chapter in his life when he met a girl. They fall in love with each other and the girl reveals an honesty that is the big plot of this film. Their relationship was clearly at odds with the reality show "director "'s grand scenario. And in every opportunity, Truman tries to reconstruct the girl's face again by collecting facial pieces from adult magazine models. True love was truman. But at that time the young truman was still innocent to understand what the girl was saying. And here Truman's confusion is getting bigger plus a scene he meets the figure of his father who died while sailing with Truman due to big waves.

All important actors and extras keep trying to keep the truman from the truth. The life of the normal man began to change as he searched for his identity. Everyone involved in the production of the reality show continues to convince Truman that its a real life.

Despite the big fact since being in Truman's womb, the main character he beat all other baby candidates because he was born right on the first day of this reality show is present on the screen. A reality show that is live 24 hours without a break of a second. Produced in the largest studio in Hollywood with 5000 hidden cams, the timing and weather are made to resemble the real world, but throughout life Truman has a very dangerous dream for the continuation of the truman show, namely his dream of adventure.

These dreams and great determination continue to be hampered physically and psychologically. At the end of the story we are presented with a unique trick of avoiding the spotlight to "disappear" in pursuit of his determination to find the truth. The truth of life which is his basic right as a free human being.

Although according to the director of the Truman show, life in Sea Heaven is the best life in the world. A perspective that might greatly protect Truman from the harsh life of the real world.

Apart from unique story ideas and multiple interpretations, there are many moral messages that I can get from this light film. Because when I was young, I had an idea similar to a Truman show scenario. But at the same age as Truman Burbank everything became more realist.

We’re the Millers (2013)

Warner Bros Picture.

A marijuana dealer got his money stolen by street thugs, and now he has to create a fake family to bring a large shipment of marijuana from Mexico to the US. He hired Rose, a stripper as his wife for drug smuggling. He also recruited two teenagers to disguise themselves as children. Now, he has to go through funny quirks and gatherings, especially with real families.

It received mixed reviews, and was nominated for four People's Choice Awards, and six MTV Movie Awards, winning two. In 2014, New Line Cinema said a sequel was in development.

Zombieland (2009)

Sony Pictures Entertainment.

The movies was released before its release, also generated quite a lot of hype, so that when it was released this movie was also able to rank the highest box office for a zombie film, beating the remake Dawn of the Dead (2005). If so, as a zombie film lover, it is only natural that this film will be the film I have been waiting for.

This film itself still tells the story of the efforts to defend the life of a character named Columbus in the midst of a United States society who has turned into a zombie. Uniquely, he said at the beginning of the film that he could continue to survive because he obeyed some of the rules he made, such as Cardio (maintaining fitness), Double Tap (shooting zombies twice, 1 in the head), Wear Seatbelts, and etc. The other rules were told throughout the movie. On the way, he also met other figures such as Tallahassee, Wichita and Little Rock. The story revolves around how these four people are trying to find the next goal of their survival efforts. Apart from these four characters, there is also a cameo from Bill Murray, a veteran actor who plays himself.

As a zombie film, I think the director Ruben Fleischer has been very successful in packaging Zombieland as a light comedy, but smart. The rules put forward by the Colombus character keep appearing, and are displayed in a visual form such as a very interesting presentation. The early part of the film tells a lot about how exciting Columbus and his colleagues are to survive.

When he wrote a new rule, namely enjoy the little things, a teaching he got from the Tallahassee film was like changing teeth, towards a lighter one. What about when we defend ourselves in a place that is suitable to be categorized as the middle of nowhere and dangerous, indeed there is nothing more that can be done to entertain ourselves, other than doing stupid things.

This message is captured very clearly, therefore I also do not complain when there are incoherent scenes such as destroying Indian souvenir shops or Tallahassee who are so passionate about snack food called Trixie. Because, indeed trivial things like that became entertainment for these survivors.

Fleiser's success in maintaining the short duration of the film and filling it with various funny but not slapstick scenes such as Return of the Living Dead (1985). This is what I like the most about Fleischer in this film. You can see how Columbus thought Buck was a Tallahassee, even though it was his son.

Then how Little Rock (a child) tries to become an adult and even learns to shoot. Or small details like the names of all the characters, except Bill Murray, are the names of the areas each one wants to go to. Obviously, the concepts of alienation, selfishness and indifference are depicted here. Because indeed, again when in such an apocalyptic state, maybe we also won't care who we meet, as long as it's still human and we can survive together.

In general, I think this movie can provide another perspective in looking at the idea of surviving in the middle of a zombie outbreak. Not by being ignorant or super witty like in Shaun of the Dead or even by spinning the whole zombie idea like in Fido, but by giving the character Colombus, an innocent who always thinks positively even when he is indeed surviving amid a siege of zombies.

It's also not a funny film that forces the audience to burst out laughing. It's a smart movie. I also have to give my praise to Woody Harrelson who has succeeded in bringing the Tallahassee character to life by playing the role of a super hero who is super great, obnoxious, dressed untidy but he is dignified.

I hope you enjoy my post about my 5 favorite comedy movies in this contest. Thank you very much and regards from Indonesia.

I loved this selection, especially Forgetting Sarah Marshall! For a moment I had forgotten about it, a sin because I've seen it so many times without stopping, it's very good. I find the whole general situation in the film very funny, perhaps largely because of how awkward it would be in real life, right?
