Embroidered watch in jeans (EN-ES)

Greetings, dear needle lovers.

I hope you are doing very well, in health and wellness, and that this is a week of many successes and blessings.

A few days ago, just a little before this contest came out, I had seen this idea on Pinterest and wanted to make it so badly. But, it hadn't occurred to me how until our friends at @needleworkmonday, invited us to create projects with denim fabric. Immediately, I saw the opportunity to make the embroidered watch and I imagined it so cute in jeans that I started looking for the materials to get to work.

I found a pair of pants that I no longer wore to get the necessary fabric. But, before embroidering, I searched in the stores of craft materials, the clock mechanism to be sure I could do it without missing anything.

With everything I needed, I gave free rein to my creativity and today I share with you, very excited and pleased, the result of my project to participate in the NEEDLEWORK YOUR JEANS CONTEST of this creative community.

Unos días atrás, justo un poco antes de que saliera este concurso, había visto esta idea en Pinterest y tenía muchas ganas de hacerla. Pero, no se me había ocurrido cómo hasta que nuestras amigas de @needleworkmonday, nos invitaron a crear proyectos con tela de jeans. De inmediato, vi la oportunidad de realizar el reloj bordado y me lo imaginé tan lindo en jeans que empecé a buscar los materiales para ponerme manos a la obra.

Encontré un pantalón que ya no usaba para sacar la tela necesaria. Pero, antes de bordar, busqué en las tiendas de materiales de manualidades, el mecanismo de reloj para tener la seguridad de que podía hacerlo sin que me faltara nada.

Con todo lo necesario, di rienda suelta a mi creatividad y hoy les comparto, muy emocionada y complacida, el resultado de mi proyecto para participar en el NEEDLEWORK YOUR JEANS CONTEST de esta creativa comunidad.

I assembled the jeans fabric in the frame and with a white color, special for painting on fabric, then, I drew the draft of the flowers in the points that mark the hours (12, 3, 6, 9), and began to embroider them, with the skeins chosen. The colors I selected are mostly earth tones. For the twigs a light and a dark green and for a special touch, I chose a red wine to embroider some buds on the twigs.

Armé la tela de jeans en el bastidor y con un color blanco, especial para pintar en tela, dibujé el borrador de las flores en los puntos que marcan las horas (12, 3, 6, 9), y comencé a bordarlas, con las madejas escogidas. Los colores que seleccioné son de tonos tierra en su mayoría. Para las ramitas un verde claro y otro oscuro y para darle un toque especial, escogí un vino tinto para bordar unos capullos en las ramitas.

I embroidered all the little flowers with the different stitches, among them: backstitch, herringbone stitch for the twigs, filling stitch, pink stitch and buttonhole or filet stitch for the flowers.

After I had all the flowers embroidered, I hesitated on the color I would choose to fill the center. So I went to my embroidery page ByViviOrtiz, on Instagram and in a story, I asked my followers to help me choose the color. The poll came up with beige, so that's the one I used to fill them in.

Bordé todas las florecitas con los diferentes puntos, entre ellos: Pespunte, punto de espiga para las ramitas, punto de relleno, punto rosa y puntada ojal o filete para las flores.

Después que tuve todas las flores bordadas, dudé en el color que escogería para rellenar el centro. Así que fui para mi página de bordados ByViviOrtiz, en Instagram y en un historia, pedí ayuda a mis seguidores para que ellos escogieran el color. La encuesta dio como resultado el color beige, así que ese fue el que usé para rellenarlas.

It was time to use the mechanism that would make my embroidery work as a decorative clock. At this point, I got excited because I was close to finishing my embroidered clock project to decorate a little corner of my house.

Llegó el momento de usar el mecanismo que haría funcionar mi bordado como reloj decorativo. En este punto, me emocioné porque ya estaba cerca de terminar mi proyecto de reloj bordado para decorar un rinconcito de mi casa.
