Low Calorie Recipe : Steak Chicken Mentai
In my previous video, I just say that I lose 17 kg in 7 months due to a calorie deficit. It's so amazing cause I've never do something crazy like that in my life, finally I can have a healthy diet and have a good impact on my life. Calorie deficit is something that must be do if you want to lose weight.
During these 7 months, I ate at a calorie deficit of 1800 kcal, that means I can still eat well and be full to enjoy my life. I reduced the carbs from rice and replaced them with lots of vegetables, although actually I still eat carbs too, but not as much as I used to, before the diet. I eat rice, bread and some fruit which has a low glycemic index.
One thing that is most important, I use less oil and rarely deep fry for all my meals. I chose chicken breast fillets which contain little fat, so that daily protein is sufficient and low in calories, chicken breast is indeed the best in protein which is low in fat.
Almost every week I buy 4 kg of chicken breast, I buy it for stock and marinate the chicken to divide into several containers so it's easy to cook and hygienic, that's the simplest way and makes my life easier. I weighed the breast chicken fillet according to my needs, then marinated it with garlic and some spices that I like, so everything was made easy even though I had to be complicated in one day.
So, this time I really want to share a special recipe for you who want a calorie deficit and doing diet but so afraid the food you eat will taste bland or not good to eat, in the end you fail in a deficit calorie and lose weight will never happen. Diet is indeed about how we understand the body's need to receive food and excrete it by move a lot so that everything can balance.
So, this is a menu that is always my moodbooster when I'm on a diet, especially after full impact workout, I like to serve it on a dinner plate for lunch. Mentai chicken steak with calories under 500 calories for one serving. Hope you like this recipe and read it till the end.
Ingredients;
You need to note that I only use some really simple ingredients. Like;
- 500 gr chicken breast
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 tsp ground pepper
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp oyster sauce, sesame oil and fish oil
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp chili sauce
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- Carrots and chickpeas
- Water to boil
How to make Steak Chicken Mentai;
- Previously I had marinated chicken breast one night with crushed garlic, then doused with pepper, chili powder, oyster sauce, sesame oil and fish oil. Then I left it overnight in the refrigerator. I wrap it in a closed container.
- When it's time to stir fry, I use a non-stick wokpan, so you don't have to add cooking oil first. It's just that I heat the wokpan within 2 minutes over medium heat, then one by one the marinate chicken parts were place on top of the wok pan. Grill for 4 minutes per chicken surface.
- After the chicken ripe, I boiled the carrots and green beans. Add a little salt and pepper to give the carrots and chickpeas a nice taste. Once they are soft, then you can drain the carrots and beans from the cooking water.
- I use bread as carbo, by way of toast on wokpan and I cut it into pieces.
- Chili sauce and mayonnaise are mixed in 1 container, then you can put this mentai sauce on top of the chicken steak, just use ½ tbsp so the calories are not too big, then torch over fire so that the top of the mentai is slightly burnt.
- Mentai chicken steak is ready to be served!
