My Entry For Shadow Hunters/SMASh Contest -Round 302

အားလုံးပဲ မင်္ဂလာပါ။ ကောင်းသောနေ့လေးပါ။

Yesterday I saw a group of women sifting rice. The words here are Burmese expressions, so it is difficult to describe them in English. So I wrote to make my friends understand the purpose.

မနေ့တုံးက အမျိုးသမီးတစ်စု ဆန်တွေကို ဆန်ကာချနေတာတွေ့တယ်။ ဒီနေရာမှာ စကားလုံးတွေက မြန်မာအသုံးအနှုန်းတွေဖြစ်လို့ အင်္ဂလိပ်လို ဖော်ပြဖို့ခက်ပါတယ်။ ဒါကြောင့် လိုရင်းကို သူငယ်ချင်းတွေနားလည်အောင် ရေးလိုက်ပါတယ်။

This week's entry photo is the shadow of a filter made of bamboo diapers that has been used in Myanmar for many years to purify rice. I think there are only a few people who can use this bamboo diaper filter today. The reason is that it is easy to buy refined rice these days.

အခုတစ်ပတ်အတွက် ပြိုင်ပွဲဝင်ဓာတ်ပုံက မြန်မာနိုင်ငံမှာ ရှေးနှစ်ပေါင်းများစွာကတည်းက ဆန်များကို သန့်စင်စေရန်အတွက် အသုံးပြုတဲ့ ဝါးနှီးနဲ့ပြုလုပ်ထားတဲ့ ဇကာရဲ့ အရိပ်ပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဒီဝါးနှီးဇကာကို ယနေ့အချိန်မှာတော့ အသုံးပြုနိုင်တဲ့သူ အနည်းအကျည်းပဲ ရှိတော့မယ်လို့ထင်ပါတယ်။ ဘာ့ကြောင့်လည်းဆိုတော့ အခုခေတ်မှာ သန့်စင်ပြီးသားဆန်တွေကို အလွယ်တကူ ဝယ်လို့ရနေတဲ့အတွက်ပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

I asked the women for permission to use the filter made of bamboo diapers and took pictures of it in the hot sun. The women were looking at me like I was a strange creature 😁 It was not a beautiful thing and they asked me why I was taking pictures. I can only answer because I want the shade of that bamboo diaper filter.

အဲဒီ ဝါးနှီးနဲ့ လုပ်ထားတဲ့ ဇကာကို အမျိုးသမီးတွေဆီမှာခွင့်တောင်းပြီး နေပူပူမှာထောင်ပြီး ဓာတ်ပုံရိုက်ယူခဲ့တာပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ အမျိုးသမီးတွေက‌ ကျွန်တော့်ကို အထူးအဆန်းသတ္တဝါလို ဝိုင်းကြည့်နေကြတယ် 😁 လှတဲ့ပစ္စည်းလည်းမဟုတ်ပဲဘာကြောင့် ဓာတ်ပုံရိုက်ယူသလဲလို့လည်းဝိုင်းပြီးမေးခွန်းထုတ်ကြတယ်။ အဲဒီ ဝါးနှီးဇကာရဲ့အရိပ်ကို လိုချင်လို့ပါလို့ပဲ အဖြေပေးလိုက်ရပါတယ်။
