Open Mic 🥱😄: July 25 2023

A new Open Mic started in Wilstead which isn't very far from St Neots, making a change to not having to travel too far.
Tonight was the first evening and it was well worth checking out as the landlady is planning to book people.

I didn't take my guitar as it was duets all the way and sure enough we're on her list, which is great.

It was nice to meet some new people and hear some different performers.
But there was also the familiar face of Mark doing his country numbers.
I'll see Mark again on Friday at the Hen's where I WILL take my guitar.. haha

I used to live in Wilstead when I was about 5. I've not been back much since then, but I did look on Google Maps to see my old house. It's good to hear there is another session starting.

Near Wixham, isn't it?
Yes, it could be a nice little venue that others might like to join.
The landlady is super attentive.. I put my glass of water down and it was magically refilled.. 😄

The Wixhams didn't exist back then. I have some memories of living there. Obviously I was not hanging around in pubs.

Ah sorry, for some reason I thought the Actifit community was specific to fitness goals... IE. Doing a daily walk or a targeted amount of steps, or the weekly parkrun...

Sorry if I'm wrong!

I don't mind either way - I love to see that you have so many opportunities to play where you are!!!

AH, cool! Sorry, all original stuff mine..
I had stopped posting for a few days because I thought it might get boring but was told I should post every day to keep my Actifit ranking up..
So, you get open mics all the time.. haha

It IS that but also daily stuff, cleaning, eating out.. anything to get you moving.
Exhaust is a little more, well, exhausting.. 😄

I wish i got some musical talent i could share in gatherings like this. Well i still enjoy music nonetheless. And i could get to the open mic with the help of a few bottle of beers. Lol.
