Splinterlands Art Contest - Week 271 - Blackmoor Nymph

Hello there, everyone. It's Friday (at least in my area) which marks another entry for the weekly Splinterlands Art Contest.
I've been dying to see some new monsters in the game for new ideas and inspirations for the art contest and lo and behold, we got the Rebellion card set going now and it's got some pretty neat monsters.

So that's why I decided to choose one of the new cards as my reference for this week's contest.

The Process

Last week, I went heavy on the brushes, so for this week's work, I decided to focus more on the lighting of my drawing. There were a ton of glows and surfaces to work my way around, but I think it turned out satisfactory to my taste.

The Result

In the end, I wasn't too sure about what to use for the background, but as she's a Nymph, I decided to give the background some rays of light and blurred out colorful lights in the distance. The ray of light did the glows on her skin some justice even though I hadn't planned that out at the beginning - I guess all's well that ends well hahaha.
