Around The World: Challenge - #45/4 LAGUNAZO IN EL AVILA PARK

This photo is in a place called LAGUNAZO that is in the EL AVILA NATIONAL PARK, which is in the coastal mountain range, a mountain that protects the capital of VENEZUELA from hurricanes and other disasters caused by hurricanes that, when colliding with the mountain, discharge the water on the coastal side reaching the capital with much less force.

This mountain is a place that is used by VENEZUELANS and foreigners to go up for a weekend to do sports or go up with a geep to the town of GALIPAN, from there you can go to where the cable car station is located. Avila, which is near the EL HUMBOLT hotel, which is the building seen in the photo.

But from where we took the photo it is a place that is used for those who want an adventure and camp one or more nights in Avila.

Although this photo is not as spectacular as other photos, the memory I have is more interesting.

I remember that I was at the university studying a degree in BIOLOGY and with my friends we decided to go to AVILA and camp in the lagoon, everything was normal we had a lot of fun but the problem was two days later when we left instead of returning the same way we decided to go On another path, we walk arriving at the CRUZ DEL AVILA, which is a cross that is lit from November to January 16.

We walked and walked but as the companion who supposedly knew the way got lost and we ended up walking from 7 am, which was where we finished dismantling our camp, and we left at 11 pm at night through the SEBUCAN sector, which is about 10 km further away. or less than the input we used.

I remember we were all walking but when it was getting dark several of our friends began to suffer from the walk, giving them stretches, muscle pain and one of them fainting, and he indicated that he wanted to stay on the road until the next morning but luckily a rescuer who was By chance, looking for another person who was lost in the Avila, a colleague had already found her and the charge was given to this friend.

I walk fast and for some strange reason when I stopped the walk I got an immense pain in my legs that was almost disabling and it was difficult for me to start walking, I decided not to stop until I got to the bottom and fortunately another friend who walked fast also accompanied me and so we went alone. two and our other friends behind and the rescuer with the other friend carried on his back passed us very quickly.

So we arrived at the subway station both ways and we entered when the subway was almost closing, it was the glory of entering the subway with the escalator that worked since we could hardly walk and also with the weight of the implements to stay like food that Many at first did not share much but later they went outside to empty themselves because they could no longer support the weight of the food and the tent and a change of clothes as well as water.

It was a tortuous but interesting adventure that I would repeat although changing other things, and surely today with Google Maps and as the signal reaches more places we would not get lost like that.
