This is a species of moth called CASE MOTH, a species of TINEIDAE.

This moth can eat textiles such as wool, leather, etc. Although it can also feed on hair and dust, it likes places with a lot of humidity, so the appearance of this moth and if you see its larva, is a sign that there is a lot of humidity in your home.

He makes his case with hair, dust and sand that he finds and his body is always stuck inside it, only his head showing out to move when he does not detect danger.

So if you need to be careful and pay attention in your home, check your wardrobe to see if there is an infestation of this moth that is devouring your favorite clothes.

VERSION EN ESPAÑOL

Si ves esto en tu casa y te parece inofensivo es hora de que revises en tu hogar y mas aun si esto aparece cerca de tu closet donde guardas tu ropa preferida.

Esto es una especie de polilla llamada POLILLA DE ESTUCHE, una especie de TINEIDAE.

Esta polilla puede comer textiles como lana, cuero, etc. Aunque también puede alimentarse de cabello y polvo, le gusta los sitios con mucha humedad así que la aparición de esta polilla y si vez su larva, es señal que hay mucha humedad en tu hogar.

Su estuche lo hace con pelos, polvo y arena que encuentra y siempre esta metido su cuerpo dentro de el, asomando solo su cabeza para movilizarse cuando no detecta peligro.

Así que si la vez debes tener cuidado y prestar atención en tu hogar revisar tu guardaropa, para ver si hay una infestación de esta polilla que este devorando tu ropa preferida.
