The 100-Day Project, Day 67 — Little of This, Little of That

It is day 67, and I have officially moved into the final third of the 100-Day Project.

Today was another day that was partially given over to things not at all related to art and creativity, including a short patch of hectic gardening when the sun suddenly came out and then otherwise misty and rainy day.

A "Goddess Stone"

Spent some time looking through all my stone bins to locate more oblong stones to create the new "heart stone" designs on, and I plan to paint as many of these as possible up until the very last minute.... which is likely going to be Sunday.

My wife was in touch with the event organizer today, and confirmed that we actually have an extra night's hotel stay; scheduled to arrive Thursday evening and leave Sunday morning. The nice thing about this particular event is that the hotel is paid for by Event Management.

Which says a lot, by the way, since this particular resort and casino has very few rooms that are less than $200 a night!

I realize, as I write this, that there won't be any creative updates while we are on the road, but there will certainly be "om the road reports," as it were.... and when possible.

Meanwhile, I had been hopeful that some of our show supplies would have arrived in today's mail or by UPS, but it turned out that they didn't. That is one of the joys of living in a small town at the end of the world pretty much everything takes an extra day to get here.

Day 67 Stone Painting:

I am getting pretty close to the cut-off points for painting stones and getting them finished and ready for the event. Accordingly, I have to be pretty selective with what I give my time to.

Today I painted two more of the small stones that are going to go in the pre-bagged and ready-to-go basket — $12 each or 4 for $40.

Today's smaller stones

Once I was done with that, I turned towards painting more heart stones, mostly focusing on the smaller sizes.

I have a good feeling about these, and think they will do very well not only at this event but at all our other future events. Time will tell!

Day 67 Summary and Social Media Bits:

All in all, not a bad day today: did get four more stones painted, quite small, but it all counts!

Daily Twitter/X post: Pass. Ran out of time.
Daily Facebook Page post: Pass. Ran out of time.
Daily Instagram post: Pass. Ran out of time.

Other Stuff: As usual, this Hive post; four smaller stone painted; Daily shoutout to @gillianpearce.

Day 67 completed; quite a good day creatively speaking, and I'm feeling a little bit better about how far along I am. Also got to start organizing and packing our paper goods/support materials for shows. Yes, it's like setting up a small retail store for a couple of days.

I appreciate you coming to visit and please do leave a comment if you feel so inclined!

Thank You!

The goddess stone has a different shape from others of your stones, it is long while others are round in shape, this creative work of yours is so beautiful, in the goddess stone the design of the painting is at a small space, is that how it would be made? Or you are going to add more designs to it?.
