The 100-Day Project, Day 66 - Still Painting, and Starting to Pack!

Welcome to Day 66 of the 100-day project! Almost two-thiirds of the way there.

Today is a bit of a piecemeal day, but all in all going pretty well.

This tiny heart stone — less than 1" long — became the model for a new type of design

On the creative inspiration front, I had a conversation with my wife which is going to result in a redesign of how I am going to paint heart stones from this point forward.

Whereas they have always been popular, they have also felt a bit awkward because having a heart in the middle of the design sort of interferes with the entire integrity of the mandala idea.

After some talk about it and going back to a tiny little stone that I painted for her, I'm repurposing some blank stones I normally would have used to create spiral stone designs and instead going to turn them into the new heart designs and the spiral stones have also changed into the more "pinwheel design from what they were before, with the small spiral at the end.

Couple of before is and afters of both stars and spiral stones are pictured here within this post.

The good news about that is that it also means that my creativity is coming back a little bit and I am very happy about that!

After that, I went on to do a little bit of house cleaning work, in the administrative sense.

This started with once again paying my past due Etsy fees to get my Etsy Shop up and running again. That was $12.60. Sometimes I feel like I'm getting absolutely nothing from paying somewhere between $10-$20 a month to have all this stuff listed online. But changing that is part of what this project is about.

Afterwards, I finally got the organza gift bags ordered for upcoming events. They should arrive on Saturday.

Day 66 Stone Painting:

Today's stone painting endeavors consisted mainly of getting into making some of the "new" style heart stones, which we must have in stock, ahead of Mother's Day.

All in all, I got four of them done, mostly in smaller sizes — Pictured below.

Day 66 Summary and Social Media Bits:

Somewhat of a mixed bag today: did get four stones painted, even if quite small and they mark a start in a new direction! Glad to finally get some outstanding supplies orders placed... I don't like being so flat broke we can't afford to resupply with anything.

Daily Twitter/X post: Check. Pictures of heart stones.
Daily Facebook Page post: Pass. Still not "feeling" Facebook.
Daily Instagram post: Check. Another post about heart stones.

Other Stuff: As usual, this Hive post; four smaller stone painted; Daily shoutout to @gillianpearce, whom I (sadly) think has thrown in the towel on the challenge.

Day 66 completed; feel like my slowed down creativity is starting to move again. Yay!

I appreciate you coming to visit and please do leave a comment if you feel so inclined!

Thank You!
