The 100-Day Project, Day 62 — Slow Progress

We have arrived at day 62 of the 100th day project.

I managed to get some of my creative work in early in the day, which was a good thing because an early gray day turned into a sunny day and that meant that we spent quite a few hours out in the garden tearing into the weeds and greenery!

Been starting to work a little bit on photography today, and experimenting with the best way to do a seamless background which I have to do for Amazon Handmade which requires that the first photo in any listing does not have anything but the product itself in the frame. You can't have any props, you can't have any decoration, you can't have anything to make it look nicer or even to give a sense of scale. Just the product itself.

I don't mind having a lot of photos on hand, because I can always trim and reformat them to be used for social media. It is interesting that that has actually become more relevant to my life now that I am trying to develop a social media habit!

If you're an artist marketing your work, I kind of never really thought about just how many photos you need, in order to hit social marketing on multiple channels everyday!

Today's three smaller stones

Day 62 Stone Painting:

As mentioned above, I got started fairly early on my creative work.

In this case, it was a matter of painting three more of the smaller stones. At this point, I'm fairly content with how that is coming along.

Today's three little stones also got involved in the "seamless back" photography experiment, and they're pictured above.

Having to look at the many photos also made me realize how important good photography is. You can't look like you just set it on your dining table and used your phone to do a quick shot. I know a lot of people do this and consider it "good enough," but it doesn't work in my universe.

Day 62 Summary and Social Media Bits:

Another somewhat quiet day today: Unless, of course, you count the photographic experiments. On the whole, my heart just wasn't in it.

Daily Twitter/X post: Check. Post about paler stones... which I paint very few of.
Daily Facebook Page post: Check. Used one of my experimental photos from today.
Daily Instagram post: Check. Also a post about the scarcity of paler stones.

Other Stuff: As usual, this Hive post; three small stones; Daily shoutout to @gillianpearce!

Day 62 completed; this day went past very quickly, but not with the things I had expected.

I appreciate you coming to visit and please do leave a comment if you feel so inclined!

Thank You!
