The 100-Day Project, Day 47 — And Then, a Somewhat Slower Day!
So, I have managed to make it to day 47 of the 100-Day project.
There's no doubt that creativity is something that ebbs and flows for me. And that means that sometimes I have - for no good reason - what I consider completely wretched days.
Today was definitely one of those days I would consider wretched, even though life in general felt quite good today. However inspiration seemed to be at an all-time low.
Since I've had several fairly good days recently, I'm going to give myself a hall pass for slacking off today!
Today's stone for the retreat Stone project
Day 47 Stone Painting:
As per usual, I started the day with painting one of the by now infamous "retreat stones." This is now number 23 of the series, and I am planning to do 30, all told.
Today's proof of stone is pictured above.
Then came to challenge of doing something more. And that's pretty much where I started stumbling. All kinds of other things around the house sounded way interesting compared to painting a stone.
In the end, I forced myself to do at least something, and that ended up being the two tiny Stones pictured below. At least something is better than nothing at all!
Day 47 Summary and Social Media Bits:
Very modest results today: Did manage to finish another Retreat Stone, and then two tiny "Faerie Stones," but that was pretty much all. So many other things to do, today.
Daily Twitter/X post: Check. More of a beach combing post this time.
Daily Facebook Page post: Fail/Pass. Continuing to let the UFO/Paranormal announcement page ride for a while.
Daily Instagram post: Fail. didn't even feel like opening it and looking at it.
Other Stuff: As usual, this Hive post; not much of a day, creatively speaking. Did manage to go and get some fresh lacquer for my finished project this weekend; Daily shoutout to @gillianpearce!
Day 47 completed; this will definitely go down as one of the worst days since I started doing this project. But I guess you have to have one of those, as well! Tomorrow I shall start finishing the stones I have ready it's supposed to be a slightly warmer day. It's also supposed to not be raining, which means the humidity will be more suitable for finish work.
