LOH #166: Kindness Doesn’t Cost That Much

A CHALLENGING year, a rollercoaster journey, and 2023 was a year full of learning and discovery. The question is, “What is the one lesson or knowledge you learned this year that benefitted you as a lady?” The lesson that I learnt this 2023 is that kindness doesn’t cost that much.

In today’s world, where inhumanity are prevalent in our society that we often see and hear it on the news, it breaks my heart. Being kind does not cost a thing, throw kindness everywhere you go, and kindness must never be wasted. Furthermore, as a lady, this lesson really shaped my perspectives and faith in humanity. The more you help others, the happier your heart and soul. Kindness is something that the world needs, know that someone, that a stranger may change your life—on how you view the world.

Out of all the many lessons that I’ve learnt, why did I choose kindness? It is because I want you guys to know that spreading kindness is free and it radiates happiness and it can save someone—in any possible ways. Moreover, there’s someone outhere, marked your kindness and you will realize, “It is a kindness that I will never forget. It will remain in my heart forever.” Kindness gives a positive impact in ourselves, a benefit that surely we’ll bring for the rest of our lives. It also gives us satisfaction and urge to use kindness as an instrument to restore humanity. Let’s do what is better, for growth and for the betterment. Additionally, being kind encourages people and an act for a change. Maya Angelou once said, “It takes courage to be kind.” So, grab all the courage you have right now and show the kindness of your soul.

(Image from year 2021 when we expressed kindness to those homeless people in our simple ways and I am planning to do it again this summer.)

Can you recall someone who is been kind to you? That even though all of us suffered from different kind of pain but still have a selfless mind and still choose to be kind. How astounding, right? A natural character that was dig on our system will find its way to show up. My father said, “Be kind, it is worthy. It will give you peace and happiness
especially if it is sincere. Do not expect to return the favor, just do it wholeheartedly.”
And yes, it gives me peace and happiness. Something you can do freely and free.

This lesson alter my mind, on how I see life. We complaint, no contentment, sometimes careless and such. We often forget that we are blessed for we have eyes to see the beauty of the world, ears to hear, foods to eat, clothes to wear, and a home. We are jealoused, we demand from something we do not have, and sometimes we just be and beg. We are more than blessed more than what we think. As for kindness, this comes natural, even the heartless person can be kind. Again, kindness does not cost a thing, spread it people!😘

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I learned long ago the beauty in greeting or saying hello with the broadest smiles. I almost always get a smile back or one after I've passed by the individual because kindness is contagious 🤩
