Bicycle Riding School Experience With My Nephew

Today I want to participate in my first @cycling community contest. My contest is going to rely on my bicycle story experience about 1 and my nephew. About days ago, I was passing a nearby village known as Amachi village in Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State Nigeria and I saw closely a lovely shopper bicycle. The bicycle cut my attention and I have to rush closer to it because I do love anything that can give me joy and that's bicycle which I can use to take a road work.

The shopper bicycle I saw at Amachi made me remember a bicycle ride in usually have with my nephew during our primary school days. My father had a high frame bicycle which he usually carry me and other of my siblings to school. As I learnt how to ride bicycle of my dad, anytime he's not fit to take me to school, I'll be the one to ride my siblings to school. My nephew has a shopper bicycle and we were attending the same primary school.

Anytime my father is not strong to take me to school and I'm the one to ride myself and my siblings. My nephew will be the one to ride his own shopper bicycle himself. If we both enters the main road and saw that our parents are no longer seeing us, we'll enter the high speed riding on the road through competition. Of course because i was a woman and my nephew is a man, he used to take first position anytime we're riding to school.

One day, I didn't want my nephew to win me on the road, I have to use my bicycle spanner to loose his chain where it'll be disturbing him. When we were about going to school, I told him that he'll not win me this time around. My nephew laughed at me and told me he's used to my threat but he knows I'll not even drive close to him. As we both entered the road and my nephew wanted doing his normal magic to ride high speed and his chain losses. My nephew stopped to tighten it. From there I gave him a bigger gap on the road. But despite what I did to my nephew by loosing his bicycle chain, the second time his chain loosed on the road, he had an accident that I have to turn back and carried him home for treatment.

Today in the cycling contest, I remember that after all I did to my nephew for me to take a lead for a day, the accident my nephew had because of me still made me not to win as they was no winner. I swore that day not to loose anyone bicycle chain as it can cause a serious accident and if care is not taking the person may die.

By the time my nephew recovered from the accident, I told him everything on how I loosed his bicycle chain and also begged for forgiveness. It was from there, I told my nephew to teach me more about a bicycle riding. My nephew later taught me how to ride speedy and how to control my riding on major roads. It was from my nephew that I was able to develop more interest on bicycle road work or exercises and today I'm doing okay as I presently continue leading a good numbers of people in a bicycle riding exercises.

It's also very important that when driving a bicycle one should always have a place where she can possibly save repairing tools. Repairing bicycle tools usually helps me set my bicycle if there's fault when driving.

You did the wrong thing for loosing his chain. You would have devised another means of making him loose instead of that devilish plan....

That was my childish thinking 🤔. Didn't think of what will my action cost. I thank God it taught me a lesson and nothing happened to my nephew.

As a kid you sometimes make decisions that aren't that smart.
Thanks for sharing your story.

By the way; don't the small spikes on the handle bar grips hurt?

It usually hurt but that's what we can afford.

Aha! Losing the chain wasn't a good idea though. I had ridden a chopper bike before, it is so handy and easy to ride.

I regretted my action and I have apologized to him. I have also vowed to to do that in my life anymore.
