INCREDIBLE LOVE FOR A STRANGER

There are many stories of how people showed love to someone in the past or personal experiences that are captivating and incredible. But for the purpose of this post, I will like to relate an experience that happened to a girl in my hometown. She was shown so much love by a couple, especially the woman of the house.

Lily, deeply in love with Ken, prepared for a visit to Ken's parents, who were temporarily in their home from the Abuja. She took great care to have her hair beautifully braided in anticipation of the upcoming trip.

Upon her arrival at the family house, Ken's mother was thrilled to see her. She couldn't help but notice the neat braid Lily wore.

With curiosity, she inquired about the talented hairstylist behind Lily's hair.

Lily proudly revealed that her usual hairstylist back home was responsible for her fabulous hair. Ken's mother, captivated by the artistry, immediately requested the hairstylist's phone number. She contacted the stylist and invited her over to meet in person.

When the hairstylist arrived, Ken's mother extended an unexpected offer – an invitation to come to Abuja and work in her salon. Astonished and in disbelief, the stylist agreed to return home and discuss the incredible opportunity with her parents, who, unsurprisingly, gave their enthusiastic approval.

Flight ticket was bought and preparation was made for the hairstylist, whom we'll call Sarah. She embarked on her journey to Abuja, even before Lily, who was to be a part of Ken's family.

In Abuja , Ken's mother indeed owned a thriving salon where she employed hairstylists, barbers, and makeup artists. Sarah, the talented hairstylist from the village, resumed her work at the salon.

However, what set her experience apart was that she became a member of Ken's family, living with them and being embraced as a cherished addition.

Sarah, with a background of humble beginnings and countless hardships, embraced the job with deep gratitude. Her motivation was to create a better life for her family back in her hometown. From the moment she became part of their household and business, Ken's parents treated her not as an employee but as a valued family member.

As time went by, Sarah's life underwent remarkable changes. Ken's parents recognized her potential and encouraged her to pursue her education, even if only part-time, alongside her hairstyling career – a dream she had long deferred due to financial constraints. They generously offered to cover her tuition and
provided a peaceful study space after her hours at the salon.

Sarah, overwhelmed by their kindness, embraced the opportunity with much determination. She attended her part-time classes and dedicated herself to her studies during her free hours. Her hard work bore fruit, and she excelled in her academic pursuits.

They introduced Sarah to their wide network of friends and colleagues, helping her secure a part-time job in an office, which allowed her to gain practical experience in her chosen field. Consequently, she was signed off from her duties at the salon.

Sarah's transformation was nothing short of extraordinary. With the unwavering support and guidance of Ken's parents, she completed her education with honors and secured a well-paying job. No longer just a hairstylist, she had become a successful graduate of business administration; a dream that once seemed distant and unattainable.

Grateful for the love and kindness bestowed upon her by Ken's parents, Sarah continued to work at the salon, not out of necessity but out of the deep bond and affection she had developed with the family. Over time, she had grown into a trusted confidant for Lily and Ken, who had since married.

As the years passed, Sarah achieved her dreams, never forgetting the couple who had changed her life. Ken's parents, in turn, celebrated her achievements with immense pride and continued to offer support in any way they could. Their love for her was immeasurable

While Sarah held deep gratitude for Ken's family, she would forever be thankful to Lily, who had introduced her to this wonderful couple. In the eyes of the family, Sarah had transformed from a talented hairstylist into a beloved daughter, bound by love, kindness, and shared dreams.

This is a true life story, the Lily in this story happened to be my younger Sister. The life a poor stylist in the village was blessed by her parents in-law. This kind of love , though not a personal experience has impacted so much to me since it happened 9 years ago. It has made me believe in helping others. We rise by lifting others, if you have the means to help, show a little love to anyone you meet. With such sacrifices, God is well pleased.
