MY LAST VALENTINE THAT MADE ME CRY

Hello great ladies in the house. I have missed you all for a while now. Is been very busy for me with school and home, thank God that today I am able to join the prompt for the week.

I want to thank @,meraki7578 for this week prompt and for also agreeing to be our judge. I love valentine and I also love celebrating it, but just myself for some reasons.

Valentine happen to be a very special day, but sometimes it seems to me like it is only women that are seeing it as a special day. I have my reasons for saying that though. It might not be the same with you, but for me this is how i see it.

I want to talk about the last valentine that made me feel so sad and since then I have decided to celebrate it my own way without including anyone so that my emotions will not be hurt again.

When February 14th was drawing closer teo years ago, we agreed with my husband that we will celebrate it in a special way. He also agreed to take me Out. You need to see how I was so happy waiting for the D day to come. We went to the market and bought two res shirt and kept waiting for the day to arrive. But I was surprised when my husband came home and told me that he has preaching engagement in another town. I asked him why he accepted it when we already had our plans for that day. He did not give me any good reasons but he insisted that the valentine can wait. So I became very angry but I never allowed it stop me from celebrating myself that day.

When the D day arrived I went to somewhere special to give myself a very good treat. I never said anything to my husband and even when he came back he was never sorry about it. For me is okay because I did enjoyed myself and I am still planning yo do same this year.

Hahahaha, marrying a minister is just like getting married to a doctor. It's nice you didn't allow the day to just pass since you scheduled to...hope you will take me out this time?

Wait, did you leave him to go preach alone?
Marrying a pastor/preacher is a lifetime commitment sis.
Thank God you made yourself happy that day👏

That must have been a sad experience, that’s a good decision giving your self time on the special day treat yourself as you want to be treated and don’t waste the day. At first we need to love ourselves then we can love someone else.

It sounds like you were really looking forward to a special day together, and I understand how frustrating and maybe even hurtful it must have been when things didn't go as planned.

It's inspiring that you chose to focus on self-love despite the disappointment.

That takes courage and self-awareness.

But remember, even the most beautiful love stories have their ups and downs.

This is just a chapter, not the whole book.

May your husband's love for you shine brighter than ever in the days to come.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful entry.

It's good to hear that while your husband accepted a ministry engagement, you didn't allow the disappointment to deter you from enjoying and treating yourself on that day. May you enjoy celebrating life every day :)

Sorry, your day was spoilt but you signed up for it when you decided to accept his "For better or for worse" and even knew he was a minister. I am so sorry you had to face that and thank God you did not let it spoil your day.

I'm happy that you enjoyed the beautiful day, in your own way.. marry to a pastor isn't an easy thing to do.

Uhm... that was sad. I believe that if you make such a promise then the least you can do is see it through. Family comes first no matter what - to me anyway. But you go girl!!! Celebrate yourself...

Ehya,I could imagine how you must have been disappointed at the news of him going to another town to minister but nevertheless,as long as you enjoyed yourself, that's really cool
Maybe this year would turn out well for you, hopefully.
