Share your Hive tweets - New POSH initiative and contest

avatar
(Edited)

Hey everyone!

As you know, after Twitter blocked most automation from POSH thus not allowing us to pick up Hive link shares automatically, this set the POSH project back quite a bit. Although currently it's still working well for @redditposh and while the POSH project is trying to build upon new platforms and try to start up new projects, we thought let's continue rewarding some sharing in other ways!

The pros of this initiative is that we can finally include Hive related tweets that aren't strictly Hive link shares. Proof of Sharing is great that it may bring in new traffic to our ecosystem and potential new users, but a tweet or reply talking Hive may also be worth quite a lot for our ecosystem. This is why we're now enabling the sharing of tweets for anything Hive while our curators will be going through and rewarding the contributions.

How?

@poshtoken is still contiously posting delegation stats daily and is using the rewards to buy back posh tokens and fund diverse activities and maintenance. We can make use of these posts to share your tweets in the comment section. So whenever you share a hive link on twitter, weather of your post or someone else's, just drop a quick comment in there of the tweet link and it should embed it for our curators to check it out easily.

After giving the tweets some time to receive likes and retweets, we'll curate them based on on the reach we think it had and any other effects we objectively believe had a positive impact, or attempted, on Hive. Naturally we'll refrain from certain controversial tweets such as Hive-related tweets about religion, drama, nsfw, fud, and other inappropriate content.

I'll share this post on Twitter and then embed the twitter link in the latest @poshtoken post as an example of how to for anyone still unsure!

Rules

Aside from the controversial tweets mentioned above (and some others we may have not mentioned yet but reserve the right to ignore), we'll start out with only one tweet shared per account per day/post, so pick the one you think performed the best!

Can be tweets with a hive link or tweets about Hive in general and replies to tweets, just make sure to link to the right one in the posts.

Can't be an old tweet, has to be within 1 day of the comment of you sharing.

Contest

We'll also be running a contest sponsored by @poshtoken to get this initiative kickstarted by giving out some POSH, 10x @splinterlands Chaos Packs and 1 @wrestorgonline Land Pack to some of the best performers of the first couple days mixed in with some randomness in picking the winners.

Good luck and have fun!

It's a good initiative, I believe this kind of thing will help spread Hive and I always support it. I'll go on Twitter soon and see if I can find a nice tweet :P

What if the Twitter account has been blocked, can you create a new Twitter account and then register poshtoken again

Yes but you have to unlink previous twitter to do so, that said there's no point really since grabbing tweets automatically doesn't work anymore and this initiative doesn't require you to be registered.

Unlinking Twitter, how does it mean, I don't understand

on hiveposh.com you have to unlink your previous twitter account to be able to link a new one, but if you can't authenticate an unlink since you can't access your previous twitter account we'd have to manually remove it from our side.

But again there's very little point in doing so at this point in time since POSH and twitter functionality is close to non-existent and this initiative doesn't require you to have your twitter linked to your hive account on the website.

Okay I understand, my twitter account can't be accessed at all and I can't unlink

Thank you very much for your feedback

@dlmmqb

You've come to the hive to prevent the misuse of rewards and to act as a protector of the ecosystem's other rules and regulations.
Will you also please prevent acidyo from self-voting?

Or you are afraid of him because he is monster 👹

Nothing wrong with self-voting, especially if you don't overdo it. This post I wanted to get some extra visibility so we could get the initiative going.

That said, considering your lack of response to your previous question it seems someone just made this account to nitpick on random stuff, use your main next time instead of trying to get others to fight your issues.

Well said! Not everyone understands the vision of POSH!

Decided to downvote cause it seems that account was created for personal reasons rather than constructive criticism given its history.

Hey @dontabuse,

First and foremost, I'd like to express my appreciation for your interest in volunteering for anti-abuse work without any compensation. It's crucial that more people step up to prevent centralization in this aspect.

Now, let's address the issue of self-voting. You may be aware that the CODE allows self-voting. CODE = LAW. Self-voting is more related to ethics, morals, and how the community reacts to individual actions. While some might consider it bad if @acidyo was self-voting all his comments with a 100% upvote and being a circle jerk, it seems he hasn't upvoted his other posts.

Allow me to break down my perspective on this situation for better understanding. I hope you realized if Acidyo wanted $ on his post and it was the purpose, it would have been very easy for him to remove the tracks. For example, Acidyo contacts someone and asks hey pal, I want your FAT vote on my post, and BOOM! Most whales try to give others as they are investors of the platform and earn more from curations than posting rewards. They get more benefits if things are fair in the ecosystem.

Furthermore, this post appears to be related to a web2 to Hive conversion contest, where visibility is crucial. Hive power upvotes take content to trend on Hive, which aligns with our goal of promoting various marketing strategies to increase participation. Self Upvotes were already a very debatable and slippery sloppy topic and with all the context we can see and observe here, the intentions of Acidyo are in the best interest of hive.

If you analyze the rewards given to people from this contest, they exceed its potential earnings. The self-upvote debate has always been complex, and considering the context in this case, Acidyo's intentions seem aligned with the best interests of Hive.

I don't feel the need to adhere to your criteria for justifying my commitment to Hive. Why this lengthy explanation? My hope is that you channel your energy and efforts into constructive pursuits in the future. We've all made poor decisions, and I trust you'll choose your battles wisely for the greater good of Hive next time. Wishing you the best in your future endeavors!

In the end, I would also like to add a fun note:

Downvotes are only negative emojis.

It's a shame you've been bullying other innocent small vote values content while being a coward against the whales.

This is due to the fact that you are unable to communicate with them. Everything here is about power, and if you have more power, you can crash anyone.

All of your 250-word comments are worthless, and I've concluded that you want to rule over the ecosystem by bullying small accounts.

You are committing a major sin here, and you will soon see your cursed life and the failure of your children. Never, ever bully those who have no one but God.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention that this visibility word is just making fun of each other. Everything is to earn here.

Bastard @dlmmqb

A buddy wisely once said:

"Cause it’s never a conversation. It’s always his interpretation of other people’s words is the “truth” or whatever.
And framing other people’s belief.
Like “here, let me tell you what you believe”.
It’s one thing to say what a specific group or philosophy entails.
It’s insulting to assume where people stand on different issues."

I've been doing this and it feels good to share Hive-related posts on Twitter, however, I felt I could only share other people's posts, a little. did I know I could share mine too. Very cool.

Excellent idea! But what to do if my account has been blocked by twitter? Or another one case when country or goverment blocks twitter? Is there any alternative way to participate in this initiative?

just drop a quick comment in there of the tweet link and it should embed it for our curators to check it out easily.

Hello @acidyo
Quick question:

From the above excerpt of your post, this is the same thing we do for OCD POSH Curation Compilation, so my question is, is that going to stop? or the two are going to run side by side and from what I saw the compilation post has not been updated so we can't drop our tweet links there and for that one we can only share others Hive posts not ours.

No plans on stopping the other one for now, this one is different in the sense that it can be selfposts but the main focus is mainly the tweets and also tweets without hive links to be curated and rewarded.
