There are many reasons your customers keep reducing, while some might be as a result of your actions or something you have refused to do, others may actually be because what your business offers is not relevant at the moment or in that
period. For example, if you sell camping gear it's normal to see an influx of customers in the summer and a sharp decrease in the winter. Asides this there are other practical reasons why your customers keep leaving.

  • Ignoring customer behavior. The world keeps changing and so also your customers as well as their preference. If you don't pay attention to these changes and make adequate changes in your products and services you will keep loosing customers. It is key that you pay attention to the trends people are involved in and try to join them. If you don't do that your business and it's products will be stuck in the past and you will be forced to close down. For example, in the beauty industry, the latest trends are organic products. People are beginning to avoid products made from harsh chemicals that are toxic for the body as well as the environment. If your company chooses to stick to it's guns rather than follow the trend it will be headed for bankruptcy.

  • Bad customer service. Humans are social beings and expect to be treated specially, the need to connect with everything they do or who they meet including sales reps is important. So when people feel out of sync with your customer service, off course you will loose customers even if you have great products. It is important that they are properly treated and attended to anytime they make contact with your business. It reflects on your company's reputation negatively or positively.

  • Boring products. If your products are not solving problems then you will loose customers. Some businesses produce things without figuring first what solution their products can profer. There are a thousand and one other products that can do the same thing as your product and so it is important that there is something that makes yours stand out or a hole it can fill in the society. People are looking for tools or products that will make their life easier and it's important that you tap into that or you will be wasting resources and loosing customers.

  • Bad prices. You might be loosing customers if your pricing is wrong, especially if your products don't measure up to the price you sell them. If they are too high you would scare potential customers away and if they are too low your product might seem inferior. Even if they are quality, it is important that you find the right price so you don't loose customers to your competition.

  • Customer convenience. If patronizing your business is complicated, people will seek the easier route and that is your competition. It is important that you make your business as convenient as possible if you don't want to loose customers. For example, if you only accept cash as the only form of payment, you will be loosing those with debit cards, checks , bank transfers and others which your competition will definitely take advantage of.

There might be other minor reasons why you keep loosing customers, it is important that you find the hole and fill it soon before it is too late.
