Few days ago I have told you about my goal of getting my Mozart by buying 12 Booster pack for 100K starbit but another story started after getting my Mozart.
I always knew that top players in the game has lot of cards and Starbits and minnow like me try to challenge them for leaderboard is little stupid. So getting to rank was never my goal and even I am not pursuing it.
But when I opened my all 12 Booster pack, I noticed that my rank has raised from 218 to some 160+ and it give me feeling that I can break in top 100.

Good.
Actually my FOMOing really improved my ranking a lot, I am now at 112 rank and top 100 really look like a possibility now.
Bad.
I have taken a loan of 100K starbits to it, but not bad because I know with my current earnings , I can easily repay it.
Ugly.
Not ugly as such but I rarely use my liquid hive without contemplating too much on my goals. Look like this this time I did not give a second thought on spending my Hive for cards. That is real FOMO for me.

Sure Bud, STARBITs are currently cheap, If I am calculating right, Mozart will be claimed before the December ends.
Once Hive payment for top player will actually start, you might see movement on STARBITS too.

Hehe, well their rewards pool certainly was a smart move - I'm saving up to 100,000 Starbits again and hopefully will be able to get a second Mozart before they are all gone.
I'm #45 in the leaderboard now but I feel like I can get to the top 10 if I keep pushing.

Congrats on the purchase but curious about the cards you got. I mean insane boost you got there with your IM number. Did you get a legend or epic?
Previous stat: stats after opening 12 Booster packs.
After stats : stats after purchasing card worth more than 150K starbits from market.
So I targeted only skill and IM card from the market.

yup, I am FOMOed. I do not think I have such impulse buying in any game till now. Though SL purchases are way bigger then it but I know in well advance that I will be going to buy.
What about splinterlands or dcity? I too fomoed in all of them.
I know Dcity is profitable, but after initial 150 Hive investment, I am just re investing SIM. Not mobilizing funds for it as such.
I have 2 account in SL , one level 5 ,other level 4, you will be bit surprised that I am not buying cards as such since last year after untamed edition release. Few days ago, I used my SL income in for buying 1500+ LBI tokens.
I purchased 3 land plots but all funded by SL earnings only.

holy smokes did you blog about that. What skills you have to reinvest like that. I was totally scatter through all this as I started dcity and rising star only within the past month. I have been trying to just now diversify away from splinterlands. To make matters worse my timing to get addicted to multiple games drain my funds from ever getting a plot. I am now stuck with no plots and just hoping some luck I earn big rewards in any of the games to flip for a plot. Maybe a GFL in splinterlands? A nice amount of starbit rewards in a day earnings? Or heck a mining tech card in dcity would be awesome, lol.
You are doing nice in Dcity and your SL collection also look nice.

Thank you, but I seem to always overpay for things and get less out of it. Still negative on my investments. Will hold long term to see if I can recoup my losses.
Look like you are short in time, not using your SL deck effectively. I checked your stats, you earned less than 3000 DEC in battle for past one week with your max level deck. On the Contrary my level 5 deck yielded me 5000 DEC from battle and level 4 yielded 4000 DEC.
With your earnings in SL , I can suggest you to try to rent out your deck and I think, it will might give you same or more DEC from battle then actively used by you.

Oh appreciate the advice but my deck is no where near complete is the issue I am having. I bought most of the max summoners at reasonable prices, but never really filled up the max monster category lol. Actually I have yet to get most of the untamed legend monsters which is my next steps. Right now low on liquidity as I am putting it mostly into Rising Star and dCity. Besides untamed card prices moving up higher than other editions, hope when things settle a little prices drop back first before I buy. If not it will be slow process to max monster cards.
It was a polite way of saying I suck to mention stop playing and rent out my deck to earn more. lol. I want to but rental market not earning much for me even with the cards I am renting out right now. I can only rent out cards if the rates are low. I do not like not being able to rent out a card for weeks if I can help it. I have plenty of duplicates but that was planned. I rather rent at low rates but hold lower bcx cards so easier to sell at higher $/bcx.
I do agree with you I need to find a better way to being more efficient with my cards.
Shit, I never looked on your cards, just checked summoner level and thought you are not playing enough of it.
One of the reason that I stopped at level 5 because stacking concept of cards really increases the cost manifold for going just a level up.
Sorry , it offended you. I was suggesting to rent out the whole team (in monster market teamshare), lot of players has done it or doing it when they are short of time, even for short time I also rented out my whole deck.
I was in illusion , that you might be lacking time to play. Hopefully you will able to make your max deck soon and reap good rewards in SL.

Not offended at all, I suck at the game and it is because I have a bias. When I have a specific formation I like I spend a ton of my hard earn hives to get them level up only to see that there where weaknesses a long the way. Nothing is perfect but agree leveling up beyond 4-5 is expensive and probably not ideal unless I intend to go max deck. Diamond and above are max so I focus to at least get cheapest max summoners I could get. Then the monsters. Key now for me is to let go of my bias and play through with a variety of formations. Thanks.
Thanks for the heads up on Mozart. I've been saving some Starbits. Maybe I should rush things more. You should be happy most of what you got were Skill. "Ego" can easily become a problem.

That's a nice jump towards the ranking and coming closer to the 100th Rank to be eligible for rewards. I would suggest building your card decks focusing on the number of unique cards that you have. As the unique cards carry 40% towards calculating the ranking. Cheers and Best of luck.

Soon I will go for unique, I got few cards that help me in energy front so that I have no deart of energy for doing mission. It will raise my starbits income that I use to buy some "unique" cards.
