As you step into the journey of becoming a successful business guru, you need to say no to some things. Why? This is because you should be constantly looking for things you can take off your plates, and put in your time into activities that really move the needle.

No one is saying you should throw your mobile devices away, just that you will only be living a reactive life if you are the one staring at your computer screen looking to see if anyone has responded to any of your mails. Whereas, you should be using such time for deep work that produces revenues.

Did you know there is something called little chores in business? Yes. There are those tiny activities that keep you busy but either don’t make you money or makes you lose money.

Allowing the squeakiest tasks to set the path for all your activities daily is conscious abuse of time. For such tasks only give you low yielding returns.

As someone who wants to be financially stable, and has chosen the path of building a billionaire dollar empire from scratch, you need to put in your time into highly leveraged activities.

This means you should start working “on your business” instead of “in your business”. Working in your business has been proven to be a fatal mistake for many entrepreneurs.

A successful business should thrive if grounded in a lead and revenue-producing system, your customers should be chasing you, and not vice versa. You ought to be consistent with generating leads, clients, and revenues.

You should not be caught giving your attending to non-qualified prospects but highly qualified ones.

You should have an automated lead-generation system that delivers new customers on-demand with less human effort.

And finally, you should be focused on highly leveraged activities that are guaranteed to produce revenues.

For a start, understand that being busy cannot be compared to being productive. All the distractions of life are out to stop you from achieving productivity, thus, making it difficult for you to stay on course.

You will therefore need to scale your focus and steer your business ship in the direction that produces revenues for you.

Understand that as long as you have an industry you want to get into, and a team, you are no longer a business consultant, a baker, a builder, fashion designer, etc. at this point, you have been promoted to the status or position of a marketer.

The success of your billionaire dream from here depends on how you market your products, and not just on having the best products or services.

That is because even though your product is the best in the world, being unable to communicate that to the market makes it worthless.

Solving problems is what the market will pay you for, and not in having the best products. There should be a position where the value of your product or service is considered weightier than the price you are asking the consumer to pay.

Anyone who solves the biggest problem gets the biggest compensation, so your high leveraged task should be to focus on understanding your market, and your prospect's deepest desires, pains, fears, hopes, and dreams.

You need to know them better than anyone so that you will be able to create marketing messages that communicate how you can solve their problems effectively.

This is the single most valuable activity that you can do to succeed in your business.
