Amazing Nature Contest: Thematic Challenge -#1/2/21 EVALUATION
(Google translate from Czech)
As I am convinced, a simple challenge can be difficult for someone. Or was it a little interesting?
Only three registered participants confirm the complexity of the Thematic Challenge "Feeders" (or uninteresting?). There were even more jurors than participants :-). However, the registered participants did an excellent job.
First prize ... @qwerrie
and his inexhaustible number of feeders
Second prize ... @annephilbrick
and a report from forest solitude
And to make matters worse, there's another one
Second prize ... @olgavita
for her report on the feeder on the city balcony
special thanks to the jury consisting of:
@qwerrie, @brittandjoise, @hafizullah, @joanstewart, @bambuka, @ninahaskin and @nelinoeva
Thank you all for participating and congratulations on the prizes received.
Do you like these thematic challenges? In that case, watch ANC trending every Monday so that you don't miss a new topic :-)
I remind you that you can still take part in the ongoing Thematic Challenge with the theme "Hidden Face"
And one more reminder. You still have the opportunity to gather material for an extraordinary thematic challenge, which you will read about in this article.

I enjoyed participating in the Thematic Challenge ~ FEEDERS @bucipuci
I love feeding the birds and helping them get through the long cold Winter.
:-D
I'm looking forward to participating in the HIDDEN FACE challenge.
:-)
Your article was a benefit for ANC :-).
I'm curious about photos of your Ents :-D
😊
I'll try not to keep you in suspense/curious to long
@bucipuci
I am gathering some pictures and have a draft post I'm working on.
😏
Feel free to work on your project :-).
its hard to tell 'why', people were not attracted by this topic. I definitely know -- by the other conversations and posts -- that this topic is intresting to more folks, then 3! maybe they just missed the topic, do not monitor it on everyday basis. i.e. challenge needs a better PR / advertising, than other (more intretsing) topic.... but that is just my opinion.
It is true that many people miss challenges. This is partly because few people read what they vote for.
The readers could do the advertising themselves. If they know of someone who is interested in the topic, they could alert him. Definitely a better way than tweet links :-).
I alerted @billdog and @bambuka, but...
Clearly. There is either no time or no interest
this was an awesome competition however I didn't have any bird feeders around :( it showed me we need more in the area to help the birds.
I'm glad that the topic served at least as inspiration :-)
Not to worry @bucipuci you always have interesting subjects. I didn’t participate in the bird feeder because I only have the hummingbird feeders for when they return in the spring.
I throw the seeds and food on the ground by the back deck for the other birds. There has been problems with bird feeders causing disease in birds. Link to info-

I'm not worried :-)
The topics do not aim to reach everyone. There is always a smaller or larger number of people who are interested in the topic :-)
Hummingbirds at 49.5 ° N? This is new information for me :-)
Thanks for the link to the article. It's never too late to learn :-)
@bucipuci, here in Eastern Canada, Prince Edward Island (PEI) our latitude 46'14" N.
The hummers return here in the spring and go South in the fall. Here's one from last summer by the feeder I put out on the back deck.
So you're 3˚ south of me :-). Maybe that's why we don't have hummingbirds :-)
I don’t know if that’s why.
The same little hummers ( or their descendants) come back here every year. I know this because when they come back in May, they will hover by the kitchen window to let me know it’s time to put the feeders out.
So I already know why there are no hummingbirds in the Czech Republic. I found on Google that they are only in North and South America.
You are lucky to be able to watch these flying diamonds :-)
That’s too bad you don’t have them in the Czech Republic. They are a delight to watch.
I believe that :-)
all old Europe feels envy to you, America :))))
no hummers for us :/
They are always a delight to see. They are not found in Europe or Britain. The hummers are only in the Americas.
you have exclusive!
😎
I was surprised reading this too. amazing!..
I always thought hummingbirds were tropical and subtropical. I wouldn't really expect them on a 46.5 ° Canadian island
46 parallel has - Odessa, UA and Maribor, Slovenia (to name a few). which is SO FAR from tropics! so, indeed, looks fantastic. but my native city is so far from Odessa. I hardly can imagine how it can be going on there. a !BEER to cheer you up, my friend. this week is like a resina, goes so slooooowlyyyyy....
In Europe, you will meet a hummingbird in a zoo. They are only on the American continents.
Thanks for !BEER. This week it escaped me like water in a waterfall :-D
