It makes me happy to participate in this contest, where we are ready to learn how to make and savor our dishes, to create as a chef for this one:

Wonderful proposal with the different ingredients to make our dishes something different and delicious.


Chosen ingredient

The carrot 🥕

🥕 Carrot, the amount of two.🥕 Rice flour, the amount of one and a half (1 1/2) measuring cup.
🥕 Salt, a teaspoon for the flour mixture and another for the carrot.🥕Water, half a liter.

We started this preparation, commenting that in my country, Venezuela, arepas are one of our favorite foods, at any time of the day and combined with any other ingredient is a change in favor; The flavors combine and an explosion of flavors emerges on our palate to enchant anyone.

Preparation:

🥕 To start this fantastic recipe, the first thing we will do is wash our carrots and peel them, when removing the shell, then we will proceed to dicing.

🥕When we have our carrot squares ready, we will add enough water in a saucepan and we will bring to the fire, so that they soften.

🥕 After a few minutes, before boiling, approximately in about 10 minutes, add the salt and let it finish cooking completely, remove from the heat once they are completely soft.



🥕 When the carrot is removed from the heat, we let it rest a little and we begin to grind, making a kind of carrot puree, however, we can leave visible remains of the carrot and give a different touch to our preparation.

🥕 When we have the carrot puree ready, we will continue with adding the flour in a container and then the salt is added.

🥕Now we proceed to place the carrot with the rice flour, this has a color that is nice just to see it.

🥕 We proceed with adding the water, remember that I have given an amount, for the water, a measure of half a liter, however, it can be more or less, depending on the area where you live, due to the temperature. In this case, the water is added little by little, while kneading, to avoid lumps in the flour.

🥕 Our dough must have a smooth and manageable texture, that does not stick to our hands and that it is easy to mold.


🥕 Balls will be made with the dough, these balls are about three, it depends on the size you want to form them; With this amount of ingredients, I have arranged for three arepas of flour d rice with carrot for three people. They can, do more or less, as best is preferred. These arepas can be thin or thick, it is to the taste of the diners.

🥕 To continue with this preparation, after the balls with the dough, continue to give this same dough a flat shape, now in the shape of a circle and this is all, to take it to the stove, approximately ten (10) minutes of each side.
