🥅 My HIVE Goals!

Today I decided to sit down and ask myself, "Self what are your goals here on HIVE". I then proceeded to look at my Join date (Jan. 2018) and then looked at my total combined amount of HIVE and HivePower (4318). I was not satisfied with what I was seeing.

To be fair I did take a 10 month hiatis from most things internet related and HIVE was one of those things. Still 4318 total HIVE in 3.5 Years is a very small amount of HIVE to acquire over such an amount of time. I quickly became disappointed in my efforts.

The second thing I took a look at is my HIVE blog. It hasn't been improving, in fact the opposite seemed to of happened. I'm getting less upvotes / less interaction and less value for my created topics on the HIVE network. This became the second asterisk against my time spent here.

The third thing I looked at was my Splinterlands collection. My current collections USD value at List prices is *20,000 USD / $15,000 USD at Market Value. $15,000 is the more realistic number but getting more than that isn't out of the realm of possibilties. Getting less is almost gntd if one is impatient with their sales.

I then looked at my Splinterland Tokens which include SPT/DEC. I have about 500,000 DEC, the Splinterland game values DEC at $1 USD per 1000 so that gives me $500 worth of DEC. My SPT holdings are at 600,000 which currently is worth $240 USD. SPT price is higher than usual due to the Splinterlands team announcing an airdrop that included SPT holders.

I'm not one who usually plays Splinterland type of games nor am I one who usually invest or spends thousands in a game. For some reason Splinterlands managed to get me to do both and I'm happy I did. I haven't reached my 1 Million SPT holdings goal yet but its within reach. Overall I'm satisfied with my Splinterlands activity.

The last thing I look at is all my Hive-Engine tokens. Most of these Tribe tokens in which I have attained have been earned from blogging and using the tribes specific community tags. I sometimes post directly from such communities such as LeoFinance, Proofofbrain, SPT and so forth. Aside from three mentioned and some others most tribes (communities) tokens are worth little to nothing. This is usually due to lack of use cases for such tokens.

image.png

First I'm going to increase my HIVE holdings. I'm not going to do this via purchasing with fiat. I decided that I'm going to sell a small portion of my Splinterland holdings and use those funds to trade for HIVE. I won't be doing this until the recent Splinterlands announced airdrop concludes.

The second thing I'm going to do is sell off my Tribe tokens that belong to tribes in which my topics don't get much support. I see no reason to continue supporting a TRIBE that isn't supporting my topics. There's multiple reasons why a topic doesn't get support from a specfic Tribe.

One of those reasons is because a topic/blogger isn't a great fit within that community. This could be the case with my topics or it could be other reasons, in either case it doesn't matter as my decision to sell is now set in stone. I have already choosen one tribe token to powerdown and sell and over the course of the next few weeks, I will choose another.

The third thing I'm going to do is increase my SPT holdings. I truely beleive that SPT will one day get an in game use case within the game of Splinterlands. When this day comes I suspect SPT value to substantially increase.

The SPT token value almost doubled when it was announced its holders would be included in an upcoming Splinterlands airdrop. I suspect the FOMO for the coin to be even higher if a continued use case was ever given to it.

The last thing I will be doing is creating more article like/opinion related topics and less giveaway/contest topics. I suspect this will initially hurt my following/upvoters and blog earnings. I'm still going to do giveaway/contest topics but they will be spread more further apart than they usually are.

What are your HIVE Network Goals??? What are you doing to accomplish them???? Let me know in the comment section below.

What is Splinterlands?

Splinterlands is a digital card game created by @aggroed and @yabapmatt. Tournaments are already being played with prizes being offered in which have real monetary value. You can get started with investing in or playing Splinterlands by clicking here. Read all about the recent airdrop announcement via clicking HERE

At the start I was super motivated to power up hive and increase my hive holdings.
But the more time I spend on this platfrom the more I just want to move as much as I can into Splinterlands.

Splinterlands has become so close to my heart that I don't remember missing a day of play in the past 2 years. (except once when I was in hospital)

It does seem like me and you share a VERY similar path on this platform.
You joined Jan 2018 and I joined Feb 2018 :D
We both also got Super lucky at Splinterlands (You with your Alpha Gold Foil Legendary and me with my Archmage Arius)
And we both talk alot about Splinterlands on our blogs (Well I am mostly Splinterlands only for the time being, but I will get into other topics aswell once I recover from my school year)

My goals on this platform is to reach 1,000,000 Collection Power in Splinterlands.
2000 Hive Power trough Author/Curation rewards

Similar paths indeed.

Looks like you have some solid goals that you are very close to reaching. I hope your hospital visit was short lived and not serious. All my HIVE has come from blogging, I did purchase $300* worth of STEEM back when HIVE was not in existence, it was used to purchase two GFL that have since went up in value. I haven't flipped a GFL since that first pack opening. Seems as my luck was all used up on that first pack :) It'll be interesting to see what the Splinterlands Governance token USD value will end up being.

I love that there’s a use case to the spt token than just holding it, I never sold any of my SPT tokens and I will consider myself quite a constant Splinterlands blogger, well, until lately, it really amazes me that all of a sudden, value comes into the game.

Hmmn what are my hive goals? Keep growing, keep building, the high price of Hive have sort of slowed my growth, lol I’m not complaining, it’s just that when hive was around 0.1$, I was growing faster, unlike now, I need need need to grow as fast as possible before a 1$ hive comes.

Last I checked my splinterlands card, they were worth 790$, stuff that were worth just around 350$ at the beginning of this year, crazy isn’t it and I don’t even buy cards that much, I just mostly play and win and rant about my losses on SPT.

I’m really impressed with all the opportunities Hive has brought me, for me, growing here is a given.

When people say Steem is better than give because of price, what I tell them is to add all the products of Hive like Splinterlands, Leofinance, POB, Cubfinance and the others, then say it again....

To keep building here for me is a given. I’m eyeing 10k HP and 10k Leo power before the end of the year.

I like it, a goal of growing on HIVE. Its one that can easily be accomplished. As you pointed out there's all sorts of ways to do that including the many different Tribe sites such as POB and LEO. Congrats on your Splinterlands collection USD doubling+ in value in such a short time. This game has endless ways to earn.

10K HP is what I'd like to hit as well.

@rentmoney, I see you post on @leofinance - do you have goals there?

I should have mentioned it in my post but yes, aside from SPT, LEO is the main tribe in which I'm trying to build on. Currently I have 1000 LEO staked and 500 liquid. I like keeping a portion of my token holdings liquid. Once I reach 1000 Liquid I'll stake half of it, rinse and repeat until a time comes in which I will reasses my strategy.

Whats your HIVE/Leofinance goals?

My biggest goal on Hive is to reach 100,000 Hive by the end of the summer. At this point I'm only posting a weekly Splinterlands card giveaway and some @actifit activity reports. But those along with some delegations should get me to my goal.

As for Splinterlands, I'm pretty happy with all my holdings except now that there is a reason to hold SPT I find myself wishing I had been using the SPT tag all along.

I see you are very close to your 100,000 goal already, nicely done. I suspect you will smash through that goal in no time. I always try to mention the SPT tag if I run into post about Splinterlands that aren't using it. I have about 400,000 staked and am thinking about staking another 100,000. I'll be sure to stop by your blog and smash that upvote button on your giveaway Splinterland topics.

I appreciate the help. I feel kind of stupid for not using the SPT tag more in the past.

Everything is built on Hive after all.

NB I like SPT too - just be careful - 100 BN total supply - it'll keep on being printed for 5000 years at the current rate.

I don't plan on going too crazy with SPT purchases but I do want to reach 1 Million. Its so cheap that buying up a few hundred thousand isn't going to cost much. Even if the token completely tanks I'll only be out a handfull of dollars.
